Can't be arsed to scroll through entire list but.... Danns and CMS plus another (yes, I know, another), CB. That is all.

You do realise that what you read in the foreign edition of The Daily Mail isn't real don't you? It's all peace and love over here - they only put the muslim scare stories in the international editions to make sure the racists and psychos stay the fu.ck out of the country. Glad to see its working. Have a nice day - see you at the match.... ...oh.
-
And now they've changed it back again (probably). Utter, utter conspiring base-tards.

What Mark Thompson has failed to acknowledge is that (I expect, although I can't be arsed to look) the table now reads that it is one game since we won. Talk about rubbing it in. Its like they only want to talk about us losing. Couple this fact with his patronising 'lower league team' comment and I think he's banged to rights. It is definately a fackin' conspiracy. BBC Cu.nts.

Agreed. Heard him getting absolutely pasted on Radio5 by a member of the public. Gove came across as someone promoted way beyond their skills just because of background, not achievement. In short, he sounded like a right ti.t.

Deppo, Thank you for drawing my attention to this blatant bias. Quite frankly they're taking the fu.cking **** and I won't be caught taking it lying down. Like Benji, I'm standing proud behind you ready for the big push. BBC cun.ts.

All the best Mr H.

You've been genetically screened then?

I agree, he would be one of my first names on the teamsheet (but have not seen so much of Dickson or Mills I suppose). Its just what I hear when I'm at St Marys and occasionally on here. If anyone can explain why they think Hardings rubbish, please do. (Also, while I'm at it, is there anyone out there who still wishes we had Leon Best, but doesn't regret losing Dexter Blackstock - reckon he'd kill in this League)
-
Guly good for me - one of the few of our players who might make the step up and survive in the Premiership. Then again, I thought/think Puncheon isn't really good enough - so I know nothing. On that subject... why do so many people think Harding is crap? I don't get it - he always seems to be a great L1 player to me. The times he is out of position are made up for by his reliability defending when he is in the right place.

Used to always go to Nicks (?) 'restaurant' outside East Street Centre before matches for a fry-up with my Dad, then head into shopping centre to look around 'Past-times II' for some weird toys??? Have I just had false memory syndrome or am I remembering this correctly??

No. HTH.

Ha-ha. Fine work Sir. -
There used to be a barbers in Brighton called 'Fat Boy Trims' (done in the logo style n'all) which I thought was pretty good. Now there is a 'chain' (2 shops only I think) of off-licences called 'Wine Me Up'. No pun, but amusing.

Personally... Acid ++ Shrooms +++ MDMA (psychedically speaking) + Ketamine -- Doing it with someone you trust is good advice. Never done DMT - I'm too much of a pussy having heard what others have said about it. Maybe thats to do with dosage though???

This. There's no point discussing whether to vote for the dark or light party when they're both blue.

Marginal jobs not pointless jobs. If the role adds value to the economy, arguably it is worth funding if the alternative is that person on the dole. As for communist countries, I think you'd agree that the reason the Eastern Bloc failed was because it had a controlled state economy. How would you describe our economy where 20% of GDP is produced by an industrial sector that is state-backed to the point that no member company is allowed to fail? Not exactly capitalism/free-trade is it.

Maybe, maybe not. I look at Ireland as evidence to show that doing more can push you further/back into recession. I understand the argument that by not tackling the debt you end up being screwed by the markets cause they see you as too risky a proposition to lend money to anymore, whack up your interest rate and the country ends up in a debt fuelled 'death spiral'. As it stands, the UK doesn't have to 'not tackle the debt'. Indeed, no-one of the three parties is advocating that. The only difference is that Labour want to do it more slowly. I think that argument has some validity based upon the evidence of Ireland - they adpoted a harsh austerity programme which pushed them deeper into recession - the markets saw this and increased their cost of borrowing. My worry is that will happen here - if it does we will have 'thrown the baby out with the bathwater'.

Three ways in which the country can generate growth, (which is the requirement rather than income) are: i) Make stuff and sell it for a profit as exports ii) Carry out existing processes more efficiently (ie. manage your budget better) iii) Make the stuff you already have/own more valuable by making its value more secure (eg. increasing you populations skills or by making sure your country is politcally stable) IMHO, cutting as fast as the coalition are doing at the mo, jeopardises ii) + iii), which I judge to make a larger contribution to our economy at the mo. I'm sure you'll disagree and you may be right. Regardless, I hope it shows that a countries economics are a bit more complex than a households.

Actually its not that straightforward. Public sector jobs aren't things you can just stop having because they come with people attached . Making people redundant comes at a price as does the wthdrawal of their labour, and consequent wages, from the economy. As discussed above, if the private sector were providing replacement jobs that were being filled by the newly redundant public sector workers, things might look a little rosier... but that doesn't appear to be happening. So we have a situation where money is being removed from the consumer economy and not being replaced. Add inflation and you have a large problem. As for Ireland, Greece and Portugal... our banks lent them much of the money. Don't be surprised if finally one of them turns round and refuses to pay it back (portugal?). Then our banks will be stuffed once more and maybe we'll decide this time not to bail them out.

Thats true if the public sector jobs are pointless. However, better to employ people in the public sector doing marginal jobs than to have them sitting on the dole. Unfortunately there is little sign of the private sector creating sufficient jobs for redundant public sector workers to move to (even though there appears to be plenty of space/capacity for it to do so). My view is that cutting the public sector so 'loudly' and so quickly has shrunk consumer confidence as well as spending power - and in a consumer-led economy that's bad.
