  1. Looks like the lino got it spot on to me. Although from where I was sat the goal looked a good-un. Mind you I'm sat in the Kingsland/Chapel corner.
  2. Yet another idiot
  3. Well done KD & the defence, thoroughly deserved, as is the place in the L1 team of the season. Better that Shilts - of course not, only an idiot would say so (however we appear to be blessed with many of them), But good enough for us at the moment & in the Championship, should we get there.
  4. idiot
  5. schadenfreude
  6. Get in there. Well done Saints, absolutely chuffed! I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought Fonte had scored an o.g.
  7. Cheer-leaders
  8. I think it's the time of year for it. Corinthians set fire to theirs: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8036137.stm Thank god we never got the JPT out of its bubble wrap.
  9. Maybe worth taking a defibrilator.
  10. "Adolf Eichmann declined a special meal, preferring a bottle of Carmel, a dry red Israeli wine. He drank about half of it." I wonder if he was being ironic?
  11. Sadly Elisabeth Sladen, who was famous for playing Sarah Jane in Doctor Who, has died, aged 63. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-13137674 I didn't know she was ill. The only link between 'my' Doctor Who & 'my kids' version is gone. I think my 10 year old will be quite upset by this, he is a massive fan of both Dr Who & the Sarah-Jane spin-off.
  12. I saw that, the luck the mother continued to ride was extraordinary. I was wondering how a woman could go full term & still hide the pregnancy, but when the baby was born she was about 3lbs, but I'm sure even a baby that small would show on an emaciated body.
  13. My default setting is usually to go against Bandwagon Dave & Lapdog Clegg. So I'm a tad confused, do I vote for or against. Fortunately on this forum we have Dune, who has made up my mind. I'll be voting for it.
  14. I'm not sure where I said that players run clubs, but I think the point you're making is that the awards were voted for by the players. This I'm aware of. My point is that the player are far more qualified to make that judgement call than the fans, they are playing against each other, and are in a good position to determined the best players they have faced, for example the right back knows which left winger has skinned him the most. The fact that most of them will probably not go on to coach or manage is irrelevant. I think their opinions are worth a lot more than the wannabe internet managers. Everyone's an expert when it comes to football, but so few have the ability to make a living out of it.
  15. Two post that are spot on. I despair at the number on wanna-be, know-it-all managers on here, who think they know better than the pros. If that were the case they'd be running clubs instead of flexing their finger muscles from the safety of a keyboard.
  16. We are the last club she presented with the FA Cup. I think it's important that we recognise that in of badge, or crest as I prefer to call it. My opinion, for what it's worth, and at the risk of being ridiculed for having an opinion, is that we should revert back to the previous crest. It may have been the club crest for 'only'30% of the clubs history, but it's been the crest for 100% of my supporting history. (which started in 1976, yes after the cup final, I was an 8 year old glory boy).
  17. Why the question mark? Surely you know!

    Question?

I used to play rugby with a dwarf, he was both karate & judo black belts. Hard as nails, but always took size related banter very well.
  19. Not. Both attacking midfielders.
  20. I'm sure there's a joke there if you squint hard enough.
  21. It's Romsey. I thought something exciting had happened, as there were police & dog teams buzzing around by the Town Hall at 8am. What a disappopintment to find out it was only Bangwagon Dave bringing his roadshow to town.
  22. Rumour has it that Turkish may have done this
  23. I predicted a 2-0 win for us against Charlton, but it didn't save. I should be 10 points & 13 places better off.
