Geographical, financial or something better to do usually involving the fairer sex. In an ideal world Southampton would play outside my house for free every weekend with 1000 bikini clad F1 type pit girls giving out free beer. Then I would go to every game, oh yes!
-
This reminds me of when Reading fans started calling for Dave Kitson to play for England. Some people need to have a word with themselves and be objective.
-
I was on the verge of cancelling it a couple of months back, but in fairness they have pulled their finger out in the last few weeks. It cuts out less, and there is no dead air now, which was appalling in the first place. It is a very poor substitute for being there or TV but when there is no other option its definitely better than nothing. I am hoping that the final will be on the box over here, but seriously doubt it, so I will either have to stream or use saints player. I am sure there are many others in the same boat as me. I read somewhere the clocks change, so we need to be aware of this to ensure we dont tune in an hour late, which has happened to me in the past for an england game - mare. Good luck on Sunday boys.
-
Indeed. I would expect us to win, lets put back to back league wins together. I am looking forward to Sunday too, though not sure if its going to be on tv or not?

Apart from Pompey which other club out there do you not like and why?

Derby seeing as all my mates are derby fans. Lived there since age 11. Play off defeat i was in tatters. Will never forgive them. -
This season is not going to good for us
-
I totally agree with this. I like to have a balanced view, which i thought we got. Said we didn't do much wrong but swindon had an excellent game plan, well executed. I don't see whats wrong with his opinion. DM clearly wants saints to win. We don't need everyone being doom merchants. He was focusing on the positive aspects, fair enough.
-
This hasn't been worth waking up early for so far, not by a long way. Time is running out, and doesn't sound like we are troubling them much. Oh dear what has gone wrong. It is typical Saints. Keep trying till the end.

He is definitely in the top 1011 Billionaires. Shame we didn't get Carlos Slim. $53 billion. We could have got Sol Campbell with that money i reckon I think Liebherr is only worth about $4 Billion. The peasant.
-
Hope we can keep this awesome run at home going. Seriously considering waking up at 4:45 am to listen to it on Saints player. If I commit to that then Saints should have the decency to stuff them to make it worth the while. We need to beat Swindon, they are a small club, and we should be in those playoffs instead of them. Maybe too late for for us now, but lets put the pressure on 'em by winning tonight. 2-0
-
I like the way he is realistic enough to have expected playoffs, but not that getting there meant getting promotion. He just wanted to have the chance of it. He said it would have shown all the players that we mean business even if we failed to go up this year, hence all being on borad for next season. NC is definitely not happy that we're prob not going to make it to Playoffs. No rift with Pardew but he is going to have to deliver from now on I feel. All sensible chairmanship in my opinion. Great result yesterday though!

1 minute left, great result
-
good result for them at tranmere, beaten us once already, assume they've done their homework. I wouldn't be unhappy with a draw so 1-1. A win would be a great little bonus though, put things right for the disappointment of the last game.

The whole clocks going forward and backwards thing needs to be abolished in my opinion. It was a bad idea in the first place. Its supposedly for farmers and to reduce road accidents isn't it? God invented time, who are we to meddle with it?
-
Glad that we havent given up chasing the playoffs

It's beginning to sound like we should beat anyone at St Mary's because the pitch is so good, and suited to our players, and I can't wait for this game by the way. This sounds like we are confident of turning Leeds over. Unfortunately we still have away games to play this season, and need to do much better. Can it really just be as simple as the quality of the turf or reffing? -
This is the most ridiculous comment I have ever read. This means that during your 11 years in the USA you weren't a fan? To only consider people who hold season tickets as true fans is a little bit blinkered in my opinion. I understand what you mean about some expats being total nobs, but there are many decent ones too, who its nice to chat about football with. Especially in a none English speaking country, where all the folks are Man Utd 'fans'. Climate and money not an issue to make me come here either! I just don't think you should be having a dig at all expats who you don't know, and personally think you have gone to far. I am glad of the opinions of expats and local saints alike. Saints player, and this forum are a way for me to stay in touch with my BELOVED saints. I thank all the decent folk who post on here that give me a link to whats happening at the club.

Bizarre thread, very political. Someone must have rubbed you up the wrong way I presume. Labelling people is not a good idea really
-
a real chance to close the gap today. However as i predicted before the game the fact that its southampton means we get this sort of result all to often. That for me means play offs are beyond us. I do wonder why we were so poor though
-
Disasterous, why cant we do anything against rubbish teams away from home
-
For all the years of supporting Southampton this is the exact type of game we always slip up in. For any other team I would say easy 3 points with the form we are in, but its saints isn't it. 1-1, but please prove me wrong, and show me we've changed
-
I don't think Prenton park will be that bad will it? It's not used for rugby or anything crazy like that is it? Same team for me all the way
-
5 goals, 5 goalscorers, we have a good team now
-
saints player seems to have pulled its finger out. good commentary and instead of silence at half time we had an interesting interview with Murty. Keep it up. This will be a cracking result, although we still seem miles behind the playoffs. Glad i got up at 5am to listen to this. COYR
-
I think its obvious they have got much more about them than the last team we had in the championship. If things went ok we might finish mid table with this crop. But with the finances available should we go up I would expect us to be looking to add greater quality, perhaps prem quality players on bigger wages. Thats why it would be so amazing to go up. We would be fairly competitive without spending much more though. Who we keep their places would depend who we could get in i reckon, and if we do go up it would mean we have had the best run in ever, so all the players involved would deserve a chance at the champ.

Makes that other thread seem like a total farce then. Glad we have found out and wish him well, hope its nothing serious. Whatever it is I hope it doesn't impair us getting the result we need tomorrow
