Saw him a few times and looked super skillful, although didnt realise he was 19 and thought was telling he hasnt been anywhere near the first team squad. I very much want to see N'Lundulu start and probably Ramsey, but think if we play all those other 3 as well, it might be a few too many. Well, it'd be very depressing if he ends up somewhere like Wet Sham, as then it'll just be about money. They'll be willing to pay him say well over £100k p/w for 3 or 4 years, whilst we'd probably do £80k for 3 years. To be honest though, if he really wants to move for the sake of money, then that's very depressing. He already earns in a week what most of us do in a year, so in a pandemic, if the club are willing to give him a massive payrise and years of security (and basically a lifetime of extremely comfortable living) and he's happy here, why wouldnt he sign? Obviously if someone like the Manchester, Madrid, Milan teams come in then he'd be moving for not only money but a shot at titles too, but not sure how likely that may or may not be.

Can see why people want him but really don't want to see him go. Even though he's only had limited time, I think he potentially offers more than Obafemi and Long and will become a really decent player. Seems to win some tough tackles, is pretty pacey and even had a few tricks up his sleeve.

Also thought he looked good, and that he potentially might offer a bit more than Obafemi as a lively young option off the bench. Has looked good in a few of the 'B' team matches I've seen over the past couple of years too.

Think it’s fair to say that Horseman hasn’t exactly got these guys going particularly well, but he is working with a very young squad. Would like to see Slattery back amongst the first team picture, and think Obafemi needs some games (although guess he was banned)? Is it possible for us to get relegated from this division? Sounds like the ‘secondment’ was a success but he was actually just sacked and shipped off overseas! Would he do any worse than the current ‘B’ team coaches?!

Some terrible results recently but it’s wrong to write off these players. Valery has had good games for the first team, but is potentially suffering from some personal issues which may or may not be affecting the young man. Slattery was highly regarded and think shows some promise, and Vokins did ok in his couple of appearances for the first team. Tella potentially not much more than bags of pace but shows good commitment and sure will learn from having someone like Walcott around. Jankewitz looks like he could be the real deal in a couple of years time too.

Slattery was highly rated a couple of seasons ago and had a few promising games for us but then fell out of favour and was loaned out last year. He's been playing pretty well for the B team, so would imagine he'd be on the fringes too if needed.

Now we've got Walker-Peters (and Valery as backup) it's not really a position we need. I guess at his best he was probably slightly better that KWP, but think that may be long behind him unfortunately. Doesn't particularly help our desperate lack of centre midfielders, wingers or goal scorers (aside from Ings).

If we get rid of Boufal and dont sign anyone else, we're currently an injury or two away from fielding a team including Smallbone, Tella and Slattery in a Premier League starting line up. None have shown they're good enough (yet) and wont be being carried through games with world class players next to them - there's only one way that's going to go... The point about Tella - definitely agree that he seems to be playing only because he has come through the youth team. I dont think he was even one of the stars of the youth team? He seemed to be a willing runner, but very raw, much like Obafemi when he first came on the scene (and still is)!

Pretty sure before he was about to be sold, Ajer was comfortably rated by most as one of Celtic's best players. Probably mates with PEH.

Will always remember that Palace match! It was like watching VVD at his best - simply much better than anyone else on the pitch. Shame about the attitude and the injuries meaning he never really replicated that.

Dont know if he was injured, but was awful vs Palace in the TV game, and very hit or miss vs Utd. Brooks is a good player though, although only just back from a bad injury. Not sure Cantwell is worth the money (yet) that Norwich will want for him (imagine 20-25m+).

Not as big a job as Palace - who not only have an ancient squad, but have about 66% of their senior pros out of contract by the end of next year!

A lot of the problems are to do with not only poor recruitment, but when Reed and co were giving out massive contracts to reserve / young players with the hope they'd become international players and be worth 30-40 million. The only one it's really worked out with is JWP, although Stephens has done well recently too. I dread to think what others like Gallagher, Targett, Reed etc were / are earning for sitting on the bench / being subsidised for them playing for other clubs...

Hi did actually score one that Long would've hit tamely directly at the keeper, and also smashed a volley from outside the box against the inside of the post. Doubt Shlong would've done that...
