  1. Great contribution to the game - I just wish he would do a bit more shooting practice in training
  2. Have I ever mentioned what a great poster you are
  3. Got to be Utd vs QPR to watch as this is a win win for us QPR lose and Harry given the boot or QPR win and UTD drop points
  4. I hope we dont play three centre backs when only two are natural - I thought Bertrand looked lost as a CB and Targett and Clyne didnt really get forward as they normally would - stick to a back 4
  5. Stoke remind me of a mate of mine when I was younger - He was a complete ugly F** ker but would always chat to the prettiest girls who would invariably tell him where to go - however very occasionally he would pull one
  6. ****dorf stadium home of the Young Boys - never fails to make me smile
  7. Not to kick my dog when we lose
  8. he has really strong leadership and is a rock at the back - just what Liverpool are after - If I were them I would go for Gardos and not Toby who doesnt really have a position
  9. Pre Match report is rubbish compared to Bearsy's
  10. neither Toby or Yoshida looked comfortable as RB - I would give Mccarthy a run out - didnt faze Targett today so give the youngster a chance
  11. he also played on for about 10 mins from the original incident - which obviously didnt help
  12. Bloody fantastic news and about time too
  13. Not unlikely but I think unnecessary Cork is a completely reliable and good Midfielder - who appears to be content enough to be rotated if necessary
  14. I expect that someone else who we sign in the summer will be replacing Morgan
  15. This highlights the idiocy and naivety of not signing Cork on a permanent contract - who would be in if Cork wasnt here
  16. Anyone know when JWP and Davis are back
  17. Gardos and Fonte both unused subs
  18. I think our goals are far more spread out this season and we are not reliant on just the forward three scoring - many of our winning goals have been from midfield
  19. For everyones sanity I suggest that no one reads a newspaper or looks online from now to the end of Jan - I thought the speculation could n't get any worse after the summer but I think I could be wrong - I dont even think our kit man is safe after that training video and the oxygen lol
  20. The key to keeping this team togeather will be to keep Koeman - The players enjoy him and his training - If we lose him then I think we will see a rerun of last summer
  21. If you take the spirit of the OP questions rather than anally dismember it then I would still say its worth a throw of the dice. We will have JRod back and potentially Boruc that is like adding a £15m striker and a £10 Gk - I am sure we can afford to spend another £20m to £25m without breaking the bank and within FFP. If realistically that money is spent on two / three players which is what we seemed to spend in the summer on players - then 2 x £10m players of the calibre we bought in the summer, I believe could (not definite) give us the strength in depth that we need to see to off the final half of the season in a CL Given that A) the main contenders for that Fourth spot seem to be in a bit of disarray B) currently there seems to be two spots up for grabs - then I dont think we will have a better chance of finishing top 4 Spending £20m on two players will not jeopardise our finances, break the wage structure etc Nothing is guaranteed but lets be ambitious in a sensible framework
  22. I can see where your coming from - We could be in or around the top 4 by early Jan All the pundits say we wont stay the course because of our strength in depth of the squad - therefore in Jan we could have JRod back the equivalent of adding a £15m striker to the squad and Boruc - then the board would be in a situation where they could invest £30m for example to grow the squad and be in a pretty damn good chance for a CL place. The only marque signing Ive seen written about is Jordy Classie. Given the poor performance of the other CL contenders - I think this may be our best possible chance and would go for it
  23. I thought they closed us down a lot quicker and more persistently and like at Spurs we struggle when that happens - it pushed us into making unforced errors by giving the ball away or getting court in possession
  24. Half way to safety now
