Breaking news sky sports - Pochettino will leave if NC quits
richardc replied to Made in Southampton's topic in The Saints
The reason that I can see that MP has come out and said he would leave that is NC has spoken to him about the alternative vision that the Leibherrs might have - This could be significant differences in the level of investment that is either side see as required or possibly the degree of negotiation that is required to release the funds. Basically NC has had it his own way up until now and he is not happy that the Leibherrs dont want him to have total control over the amount of money that we are now talking about -
Good Luck To Hammond, Bridge & Philips Tonight!!!

its just taken me an hour and twenty minutes to wait for a bus to get out of there - dont blame them for leaving early was a good atmosphere in the ground for most of the game I hope we dont get those clackers very annoying -
I live in Brighton and surrounded by Seagulls fans - They generally cant stand him and is a bit of a scape goat with their fans - main criticism is that he is so incredibly slow and always looks for the sideways pass. Cant see him fitting into our style of play - Dont think Brighton will extend his contract

Remember there was a big love in with Huddersfield fans with div 1 run in

if you have ever watched that documentary about QPR then nutter chairman definitely influence team selections including ringing the manager during games to influence substitutions. The manager was summoned pretty much after every defeat to justify team selections. Not that I'm suggesting our chairman is a nutter;)

I am sure many of the opinions on this thread are based on sentiment - and it would be sad to see players that have been here a while and got us promoted be demoted to back ups - but the whether you judge us on recent form getting us to 10th in the table or whether you look at season length form putting us at 17th the table, the reality is that is significantly short of what I think NC's ambitions are and I dont think MP will show any sentiment when his brief is top 6 and he has seen how ruthless NC can be. However, sentimental you get about our defence, the stats show that we continue to leak poor goals and I think we will bring in two new centre backs to be 1st choice players and two full backs although these might be just to add competition to places as NC's also stated aim is to play academy players - that fact that punch doesnt seem to get much game time and the same with Davis would suggest that both those positions could be strengthened - I also think that across the season you would be looking at 3 first choice strikers of which we only have two at the moment. I expect to see significant movement this summer having experienced the reality of the prem and that MP will hold little sentiment to existing team players - and I think only if we make these changes will stand a chance of top 6 or even top 10

With the 10 point deduction Pompey could be 21 points from safety with 21 points available on Saturday evening - is it still too early for the relegation party
-
The fact we are four points off relegation and have a very very poor defensive record across the whole season would suggest that both centre backs are very poor premier league defenders - as much as we like them and yes he maybe our best its all relative - we will need to significantly improve if we want european football next season

can someone answer me a question as Ive never played in defence - but fox continually plays towards the middle and leaves the wide player with so much space and he continually does this - is this something that fall backs do or is he told to do this- Ive not noticed Shaw do this quite so much.

I watched the Swansea game yesterday and they played music for about 5 mins after each goal - totally killed the atmosphere absolutely dreadful idea - the yanks do it in there sports as they are so dull - we do not need to do it over here

and with Villa playing Wigan QPR could be 10 points behind

Pubs in the 'Locks Heath/Swanwick area' showing the game?

I used to work at the Spinnaker and had a very interesting encounter with the head of the 657 crew -
Is this the right thread for a relegation countdown - by my reckoning and with the -10 points they could be down in 3 weeks on Tues 26th Feb

I know of at least 10,000 of the bestest fans that will be looking for a new club soon

NO one will know how Sharp would of done in the PL unless he is given a chance - all we know is he scored goals for fun in the championship and was our top scorer in pre-season - players like Le Fondre are making a impact in the PL It was stupid to get rid of him at the start of the season - at least they should of given him a few games to see how it worked out then if he didnt perform so be it

1224: Hmmm, this is turning into a theme of the day... a trend, even: QPR on Twitter: "TRANSFER NEWS COMING UP!" A lot more difficult to guess this one as QPR seem to be trying to sign anyone who has ever kicked a football, but I am going for Christopher Samba. What do you lot think? From the BBC - made me laugh

I had a tour of the Amex recently and quide said that before the BHA vs THFC pre season friendly Redknapp went into the press room before the match and had a drink with the journos and stayed with them for about 1/2 hour - cant imagine too many other managers doing that - which is why they probably love him
-
I take it that it was n't Nigel Adkins that you met yesterday
