  1. Slattery has had his chance and blown it - if your not ready by 16 then you get written off by most on here
  2. He had incredible confidence - driving forward, taking a free kick a few minutes after coming on, overall passing looked great as well as crossing. He was beaten a few times by their right back who looked really good and is apparently not far off 1st team. No one would expect a 15 year not to make mistakes on there debut for U21's - definitely one to watch What is it with the academy and Left back
  3. what the cotton socks are you all on about
  4. saints results seem to run in clear patterns ie either dog poo or brilliant - in November we were top of the form table - then in Dec we were dog poo and couldnt win (except Arse) and then in Jan we were great - last season it was similar but the runs lasted longer. If we have another Dec run we could easily end up in 14 however if we continue our current run I think we could pip 5th Over to you Ronald et al
  5. Dont worry we have our academy
  6. Come on Monk your ITK - you must know - spill the beans
  7. As supporters we are very quick to slate players for showing no loyalty yet at the same time if our players show loyalty and aren't perfect they also get slated Not sure you have ever played football but you do get worst as you get older. I hope Kelvin goes over and boos you A great servant of the club and I hope he stays on in some capacity
  8. I think SkySports are desperate to drum up some excitement for their Monday Transfer deadline day - so feeding in loads of carp stories
  9. At least we know Bertrand will play well today knowing that its his interview game
  10. Does this mean we can now put this thread to bed now until the summer?
  11. Guardiola today confirmed he's coming to England to manage - I have total faith in Les and the black box and he will be with us at the start of next season

    Injury Watch

what is the issue with Pelle and Cedric?
  13. I dont think peoples issues are with Yoshida himself but more with Koemans insistence in playing him there - Yoshida is a loyal servant and tries his best but unfortunately that is not good enough as a RB, but he shouldnt be slated for it However I just cannot understand why Koeman keeps playing him there when we all see it and the stats back it up
  14. Can I be as bold as to suggest Branfoot
  15. Looks like we may be singing the Malian national anthem as well tomorrow
  16. I actually quite like Klopp - talks a lot of sense and seems a likeable guy Still hate the club with a passion thou
  17. thanks for the responses Zurich Boy and Mcjwills Its an Imac I have - managed to get kodi but now not sure where to find sportsmania on the kodi app
  18. can someone tell me how to get sportsmania on Kodi bearing in mind I have a mac cheers
  19. The Eastleigh vs Pompey dream lives on
  20. we only ever lose to weak teams when we think we are going to win looks like the consensus is we will lose which will mean we will win
  21. I think we struggle to keep the ball and control the game when teams really press us - In the recent games the opposition sat back a bit in the early parts of the game not to get caught out - once they had not choice but to all out attack we struggled as we dont have the mentality or confidence to continue to attack or keep hold of the ball under pressure. I think this is why we dont do well against Spurs. I would say its a confidence and mental issue not one of quality
  22. it has always been my dream to go to Anfield - it was just so massive - the fans were fantastic - the expectation seemed so much greater than at St Marys
  23. Think we should add Bromley vs Eastleigh to list of big games - they could be 90mins away from playing Pompey in FA cup
  24. After all the years of decline SFC was a wreck when it was taken over - Cortese created a vision and got everyone in the club behind that vision, the turnaround was quite remarkable. I dont think that being all nice like we are now would have worked when we were in that state - like in any organisation there would have been a number of competing forces all championing there own dept - Cortese ensured that didnt happen. When Cortese left none of that vision has really changed just a change of attitude and I think it has been pretty straight forward to carry on his vision for the current team
  25. I always keep a look out for Young Boys
