Sam Gallagher - Joins Blackburn: Officialrichardc replied to Sergei Gotsmanov's topic in The Saints Last seasons lack of goals was not just down to Puel and lack of chances - there were games were it was painful watching Long when he missed so many quilt edge chances (arsenal away in the cup springs to mind) - the same with Jrod Why anyone wants to bin our top goal scorer and replace him with a totally unproven player in the prem league seems a bit of major gamble
-
not entirely sure people are jizzing themselves - it seems the mood ranges from deeply disappointed to wishful thinking that he'll surprise us like pottichino
-
Great summary - although Im not entirely sure a Puel Mk 11 upgrade is what this forum is looking for
-
I know nothing about FdB - is he as negative as some people are making out - can you tell us why you think he would do alright as I enjoy reading your opinions
-
we could never compete with that watch
-
We were hoping you would tell us
-
Your going to be disappointed - he's earmarked as the next Pompey manager
-
Not the most gifted of footballers but appeared to be a lovely guy, never kicked up a stink - I wish him well and hope we get more players with his attitude
-
I think that JWP is good at whipping in Free kicks and corners but I would nt say he is great at taking free kicks as direct shots and his open play direct shooting is woeful

how many more games do we need to concede 3 or more goals before he gives caraces a chance.
-
because they are struggling to fund the purchase of the club so where is the extra investment going to come form
-
There is a whole host of things in between thou that will cause contention - if a player was on the edge of the box and carried on for a few seconds - at the moment they would get booked if they carried on an shot - however this change will ensure that they carry on just in case - Im all for it but think there should be two challenges per team like in cricket
-
I take it that anyone who watched it are now asleep hence no feedback
-
Done but cant I also fill in the Portsmouth one as well

Notice how all the other polls have less than 100 votes whereas ours has over 1000 - I think we are as bad as the skates in this willy waving competition
-
do what they do in Cricket and allow each team two chances to question the decision
-
Gabbiadini will keep up his scoring sequence and get 4 this game which will just offset our defensive frailties 4:3 saints

I understand the rotation and dont have a problem with that I understand now playing the diamond when it started to deliver good results what I dont understand is changing to 433 and sticking with it when it clearly didnt work creating poor performances and dreadful results we have had two games with 4231 and both been excellent performances - I question whether the change was entirely his I question sticking with Redmond every game and all game when we have had better options I also find him as interesting and motivating as a dead rat but other than that I like him

Our little posse is off to Baker St pre match
-
A few people are heading over to the Baker St area but someone pointed out this will also be full of Mancs

We need to get this going in the Chapel - it would be awesome
