Has he not signed yet - Im getting bored of all this waiting - I think its sending a bad sign out to our prospective signings that we can be messed around I say he either signs this week or we start looking elsewhere

Has the club's philosophy on loaning out our younger players changed?

In 2004 Reed was speaking on behalf of Cortese, I dont think he really believed it, as we are now loaning out players -
and then we have K billys post
-
Whether he signs a new contract or not he will be here next season - I really dont understand why people think the club will get rid of him if he doesnt - it makes no sense whats so ever - he will be as professional next year as the last two years so what is the problem

Relegated Teams - Players who would you buy from their Squads?

For those fans of the True Geordie the relegation vid is a true eye watering classic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcCTO1DnFls He is not too complimentary about any of their players bar a couple -
All the Brighton fans I know love him - and hes been superb everytime I have seen him play
-
Apparently if you take a corner and it goes into YOUR goal without touching anyone then a corner is awarded not an own goal - very handy rule that one
-
he's been excellent everytime he has come on
-
I live in Brighton so it would be good to reignite that little bit of rivalry with my mates again
-
I would like to see his work rate stats - as I was watching the game on Sat on a stream and they distance covered stat came up and Tadic was top of the saints list - higher than Bertrand and long
-
I like Hesketh and really want him to do well - but he is so slight he will need to bulk up significantly to play 1st team - he could be ideal for the no 10 that we are missing Jones looks good and that Josh Vokins LB looks really promising Dont forget Seagar was injured and many are out on loan

Saints announce partnership with Under Armour

Same Kit Same Song Shared players Shared staff I think the grand plan is to become a feeder club for the next biggest team in Europe -
When Wanyama is on form he's a great player and should be in the team - when he's not on form he is not as good as Clasie or Romeu - For most of this season hes been poor and shouldnt be in the team. At the moment he is benefitting from the syndrome that some players are rated vastly more when they are injured than they are when they are playing

Southampton vs Chelsea Post Match Throw away
richardc replied to Secret Site Agent's topic in The Saints
1st half was pretty even possession wise but we had the much better chances - Long does what he always does misses a good chance but then makes up for it with a good goal. 2nd half Chelsea upped there game whilst we sat back reminiscent of our bad run where we got scared in the 2nd half when teams tried to attack us. Classie and MOM Romeu were brilliant so we didnt miss Wanyama in the slightest - Pelle was not the reason we lost this it was sitting back too much. If anyone was at fault it was Forster but no one can be critical of him breaking our record for number of minutes without conceding. In the end of the day we will lose matches and it was just one of those -

Slattery has had his chance and blown it - if your not ready by 16 then you get written off by most on here -

He had incredible confidence - driving forward, taking a free kick a few minutes after coming on, overall passing looked great as well as crossing. He was beaten a few times by their right back who looked really good and is apparently not far off 1st team. No one would expect a 15 year not to make mistakes on there debut for U21's - definitely one to watch What is it with the academy and Left back -
what the cotton socks are you all on about

saints results seem to run in clear patterns ie either dog poo or brilliant - in November we were top of the form table - then in Dec we were dog poo and couldnt win (except Arse) and then in Jan we were great - last season it was similar but the runs lasted longer. If we have another Dec run we could easily end up in 14 however if we continue our current run I think we could pip 5th Over to you Ronald et al

Dont worry we have our academy

Come on Monk your ITK - you must know - spill the beans
