When either of schnedlin or Hammond did nt play last season we were shockingly ordinary - if we were to be without either of them for a long period we would seriously struggle - Also in our starting 11 we have no pace - teams will probably camp in there own half against us and we will not have any variation in our play - i remember a number of games (Millwall away inparticular) when Antonio came on injected pace and transformed the game - he had strength, pace and a willingness to run at players and i dont see that in our side at the moment so I agree we must strenghten if we want to win the league

I love the line "football league giants" -
does anyone know when the players report back for pre season training - as it would obviously be better for all new players to be in by then
-
my little boy played in the matt le tissier tournament on Sunday and said it was amazing - they were given a tour of the staduim but they had to change in the away changing room as some skate b*stards had smashed up the home changing room in a tournament on the saturday
-
I have to ask - how would you stumble across something like this
-
my mate is gutted that we have signed him says he's a really flair attacking right back - they are also worried about losing poyet to us
-
the bottom right is Joe Jordan isnt it
-
lloyd James plays and it looks like we will not win again - what a surprise
-
It is no coincidence that without Spiderman and Hammond we do not win anywhere near the amount of games that we win with them in the side - none of the replacements that we have are anywhere near adequate enough
-
it would be interesting to see the stats of the games that we have played when spiderman and hammond havent played together - the dodgy run we had after xmas corresponded when Hammond was injured - we are just not creative or strong enough when either of those are missing

just back from the game and for 70 mins we were crap totally devoid of ideas going forward and resorted to the long ball game which was obvious everytime and Brighton had us sown up. puncheon looked completely lost up front and we had nothing in the middle of midfield although Hammond was putting himself about alot, as he was booed every time he got the ball. Jaidi was imperious in defence and all the defence played well. Brighton knocked it about well and could have been 2 or 3 up at halftime. Was getting really ****ed off with Pardew for not changing things about which he eventually did and we were a different team all over them and could have finished it off. Barnard was superb when he came on and first attack on the ground and he scored. Seabourne looked good playing football out of defence. We are not going to get promoted on this form lets hope it was a hangover from sunday

if you come off at the hove turn off of the A27 just before the Brighton turn off - then turn right at 1st roundabout then straight over at 2nd round about into Dyke Rd (seriously no joke) then 2nd left into Tongdean lane after about 500 yds the rd forks take left still on Tongdean lane then park anywhere around here - there are no restrictions and you can just walk down hill 3 mins to the ground - there's where im parking being a local
-
Im in the posh covered stand and my son is in the family stand with some friends - been warned not to get too excited if we score as they are keen to throw out opposing fans - did you see Wilkins interview when he said from wembley the best staduim in the country to the withdean - Im sure he wanted to say it was a **** hole but choose his words very carefully and described it as different
-
I was in block 241 and there was definitely booing

Based on performance of last 6 games this is how the league table will look at end of the season 1 Norwich 103 2 Millwall 87 3 Leeds United 86 4 Charlton 81 5 Colchester 78 6 Swindon 76 7 Bristol Rovers 76 8 Southampton 73 9 MK Dons 73 10 Huddersfield 70
-
Unfortunately our play off place is not really down to us anymore - if we continue with current form over last 6 games at 2.33 points per game we will finish on 76 points - Both Millwall and Huddersfield would need to score less than 1.5 points per game ie lose as many as they win at the moment they are both averaging the same as us - if we won every game from now on it would give us 86 points and then they would need to average 2.33 points which they are doing at the moment. Therefore basically we need to win all but one of our games and hope Millwall and Huddersfiled lose at least 5 of their remaining 12 games
-
got my ticket already mate of mine is BHA season ticket holder and cant make the game - so I will have to control myslef in the BHA end and only a 5 min drive perfect
-
Pardew said and I agree every game is now a cup final game and you would nt rest Rickie for a cup final - so it has to be no until we are at least 3 up in a game
-
Our recent poor patch was caused by being bereft of any creativity in midfield both James and Holmes in that period were slow, lightweight, predictable and lacking in any creativity - hammond has come in and given the midfield a backbone that the other more creative midfielders can build from - Antonio might not be the best crosser but he is always positive and scares the sh*t out of defenders so they have to double up on him which gives more space for the others at Millwall and MK he was the only one to create anything - James is at best a squad player to fill in if someone gets injured

MK Dons Build Up Thread - It's a sell-out, folks!

that has got to be our strongest side with our squad with maybe the exception of barnard up front - thank f**k he has dropped james - I had the feeling he was the next Jermaine wright constantly in the team at the expense of better players -
it should be -------------------davis otesemobor---fonte--seaborne--harding --antonio--morgan-puncheon--lallana ----------lambert----barnard

I am still not convinced that AP has faultless in his signings - Trottman and Melis although they had good spells and may have potential - I would not consider them guaranteed 1st team players, Ostembor and Seabourne again fall into this category and there fans certainly were nt too upset when they left - Antonio looks great going forward but with no end product - Papa constantly offside and flatters to deceive - Connolly and Meurty constantly injured - Hammond, Fonte Lambert and Jaidi - yes all great signings but I could have chosen the leagues top goal scorer, an ex premiership player, another clubs captain and top championship player but that would not make me a genius at spotting players - To me James and Holmes are at best ordinary players no speed, average creatively average tackling - none of the last 5 or 6 games have we bossed the midfield - we really need another proven centre midfielder like Danns or Stock not more average squad players
