The problem is when we do pinch the ball and forward options are on, we often play safe and go Backwards or sideways. I get it when we have possession from a goal kick that we try and draw teams out but you have to move the ball quicker.

When we press we don't press as a team and when we attack we dont get enough in the attacking third. look at the last few games, how many clear cut chances have we created.? That post match interview was dreadful and to blame the scars of last season.. oh just piss off, embarrassing. The hangover from last season doesn’t affect the teams organisation on the pitch, nor does it affect new players who’ve joined us. I think the worry is that although we’ve won a few games they could easily have been lost.. we’ve not dominated enough to win any games comfortably.. with this squad we should be doing much better, also the ineptness of our formations and the confusion this causes in a massive worry. To play out from the back you need players technically good enough to do it, I don’t think we do.

On sports republic.. SFC are a business, a business that’s failing year on year with bad decisions one after another both on and off the pitch.. Surely the owner can’t accept this.. he’s either being badly advised or he’s simply out of his depth to. Always thought Martin was a garbage defender when he played.. he’s certainly not got anywhere near the ability to coach a team to defend.. teams score against in five passes, we plod up the pitch and go nowhere. I’ve accepted for a while, but most annoyingly bar the last couple of weeks we’ve never lost touch and could have got out of the mess. What frustrates me, like others is the disaster of the last 2 appointments. I strongly believe that any manager that believed in playing an attacking line up could have got us out the mess. Anyway I’m intrigued in what the clubs message/apology will be to fans and how we rebuild over the summer.
