McCarthy was very good and certainly fills me with more confidence than baz but BBD was shocking… by playing him tonight has drastically reduced any chance we have of shifting him.

Our midfield two of downes and Charles were abysmal today and taking off Robinson lost us the only chance of taking a player on. Fraser was totally worthless as a winger today… poor floated crosses and didn’t beat his man once. On the initial first few showings our recruitment is poor once again. There’s nothing I’ve really seen that suggests that dibling will Be a huge success in the premier league… I think anyone paying over 40m is taking a huge risk.

We had no out ball today hence we kept losing it in midfield. Needed a striker to hold up the ball and bring others into play. BBD would have been the sensible choice to offer that but it shows how far away he really is. Need a big week in terms of outgoings and incomings
