Chelsea are certainly worth a look. Ridiculous amount of talented players on their books. Chalobah & Loftus-Cheek were players I wanted us to get last summer.

Will probably look better with a Name/number on it, but if it's the home-shirt, it's not the greatest I could imagine.

The BT Sport doc on youth players is well worth a watch. Can't recall the name of it, but it's quite eye-opening.

Such a small % of them will ever make the Premier League grade. I'm happy if they get picked up by League clubs, and quite a fair few have.

On a related note, I completely forgot they signed Davy Klaassen last season.

I think there's something to be said for bringing in players that he can find & will actually finish off chances he creates. Has been our problem for 2 seasons.

Won't be too many buyers for him.

Lots of talk Ajax want him, but can't see them paying a lot for a 29 year old. Hopefully he stays.

How did Hughes get on with Shaqiri at the end of his Stoke tenure? Curious if they had a falling out at all? I can remember seeing analysis of Shaqiri just walking around the pitch during matches.

I know what you mean. I think Stoke did want Rowett back in January but couldn't get it done & ended up with Lambert.

Rowett is a very good choice for down there. He's only just signed a new deal at Derby so I didn't think he'd be available.

Last season was so weird. Both of those scenarios were bizarre. We did what seemed like a 2 week season de-brief & then kept releasing stuff through the Telegraph saying things like: "The club haven't ruled out keeping Puel" even though we knew he was going to go. It was so strange.

We're the same club that took until 15th June last summer to sack Claude.
