My first thought is whoever it is needs to be able to navigate the championship. In previous years, when you see teams managed by Warnock / Big Sam / Steve Bruce etc, there's a safe bet they will be there or there abouts. I'm not sure our board will want that though. They will try and get a fancy foreign name because they know best.

I'm paraphrasing, but it was basically about before he came in (I guess under Phelan) & the players were just told to go ahead & get on with it as they are good players & were given basic instructions. He said when Silva came in they worked on everything in detail so they knew exactly what their jobs were. He said it was very similar to Pochettino @ Spurs. He said it was all about emphasising what they were good at rather than worrying about the opposition. Said he changed the mind-set of the players quickly.
