It's my fault.
Every time I've borrowed my mates' BT log-in info and watched us on tv, we are sh*te!
(I didn't watch the wins vs Prague & Inter through it)
From looking at their recent form:
- In very good form.
- Well organised.
- Hard to beat.
- Good at set pieces.
- Don't concede many.
- Score plenty.
- Don't know when they are beat.
I ear-marked Clasie & Davis to start this game, but with the gap between the Palace game and this one being longer than usual, Claude's normal rotation rules don't really apply so he's got carte blanche with his selection tonight.
Burley told the club website: "I am delighted to sign Marcelo Sarmiento who is joining us on loan with a view to a permanent deal.
"Sarmiento is a top-class footballer and my type of player. He is a playmaker with an eye for a pass who is very positive."
Agree. I'd expect it to be in the summer. I wouldn't say no to throwing in a couple of the Chelsea lads into the deal. (Although Part/Ex's never happen).
If he plays tonight, my only hope for Redmond is he starts (from the kick-off) running at his defender.
He barely did it away in Prague until the last couple of minutes which dumbfounded me.
I've visualised this game going like it did vs Sparta Prague @ St Mary's & a comfortable win.
This morning, all I can think of is that's it's going to be like vs FC Midtjylland.
For comparisons sake, the Telegraph delves into Toby A's release clause: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/12/06/spurs-confident-new-deal-toby-alderweireld-25m-release-clause/
The thing about Wimmer is he only signed a new 5 year deal with Spuds a few months ago. Now whilst he may have fallen out of favour, he would surely cost more than the rumoured 6 million.
@Matt_Law_DT: I'm told tonight that Liverpool have no interest in Virgil Van Dijk despite what Dutch papers say #
^ Interestingly not from Chris Bascombe at the Telegraph who is the usual Liverpool reported of choice.
