  1. Yeah, it **might** work on the continent - but it wouldn't work here at all.
  2. You've got a thread to update
  3. Voted Pellegrini but think it will be Puel. Not one person seems to tick every box we want. But I'd go for Pellegrini - Proven pedigree & will have the experience to keep us on an even keel. Granted, he won't play the pressing game. But I wouldn't strictly say that Ronald did either & we didn't do too badly.
  4. Good news. Jack Schitt is indeed added to the ITK list.
  5. Interesting that we are linked with both Kostic & Kapustka? Both left-sided players. Think we'd sign both (Assuming Tadic stays?)
  6. I think he'll add another string to their bow. He's a pure destroyer & they don't really have that. Also free's up Dier to drop back into a defence if needed. I think Vic will win them points in Europe against the bigger sides. We know how effective he is for us when you're up against it.
  7. Quotes from him about leaving: http://www.soka25east.com/victor-wanyama-elated-move-tottenham-hotspur/
  8. So is Frank de Boer off the list now?
  9. I need to think this over. I wonder what happened with the Rudi talks?
  10. Prank de Boer?
  11. Who'd have thought that would be the short-list 2 weeks ago!
  12. Pellegrini & FdB don't play high-pressing game do they?
  13. Think it's 20% of the sale.
  14. Buried at the bottom of this managerial article: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/06/17/manuel-pellegrini-on-southampton-manager-shortlist/?

  16. This is quite a "Saints" type of signing... Competing against Utd & Napoli though
  17. Very true. I don't begrudge him the move (I just wish we got more ££'s for him) - But to be honest - Around £11m or £12m was realistic with a year to go. Not to mention, there was hardly a bidding war.
  18. Celtic get around 20% of that £11m too
  19. He could be the French version of @timdewit who was 1st with the Koeman to Everton news.

  23. Thing is, how would Blanc or Deschamps not be "stepping stones". I don't mind a "stepping stone" coach if it means they have had great success here.
  24. Deschamps? If it's Remi Garde we are in trouble
  25. We haven't had a Saints related this mysterious since the Magnificent Seven wanted to buy the club.
