  1. That can only be us then! (if that's true)
  2. I know it’s never quite as clear cut as this – I always assume we spend roughly what we make from sales and we often tend to shift players out before we sign them. So in simple terms Vic leaves, and enables us to sign Redmond. To follow up Connor’s point above, it gels with what Claridge said about on the Monday night club recently, re: his chairman’s trip to St Mary’s where he saw the black-box in action and eluded to us knowing what players we want to replace outgoing players in the summer. (without naming names *cough* Wanyama *cough*)
  3. Nothing new, but latest from Jeremy Wilson at the tail-end of his Wanyama-to-Spurs piece: Source: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/06/20/victor-wanyama-expected-to-join-tottenham-after-southampton-acce/?
  4. Simon Peach ‏@SimonPeach Wanyama swapping St Mary's for White Hart Lane. #THFC sources say £9m fee, those at #SaintsFC £11m. Deal may not be announced for a few days
  5. Surely no chance with Sadio. The other 2 are more realistic.
  6. Guan should be back from his holiday too.

    Euro 2016

Benzema is involved in some kind of sex tape scandal isn't he?
  8. It's a continual process... You wouldn't know who Paul Mitchell found & who Wilson did. Time will tell.
  9. Is is very true. The ONLY person I can remember who thought it was a blinding piece of business was Guillem Balague.
  10. Zenga: Teams managed: 1998–1999 New England Revolution 2000–2001 Brera 2002–2003 Naţional Bucureşti 2004–2005 Steaua Bucureşti 2005–2006 Red Star Belgrade 2006–2007 Gaziantepspor 2007 Al-Ain 2007 Dinamo Bucureşti 2008–2009 Catania 2009–2010 Palermo 2010 Al-Nassr 2011–2013 Al-Nasr 2013–2014 Al Jazira 2015 Sampdoria 2015–2016 Al-Shaab Doesn't really fit the bill does he?
  11. Blame Sky Sports, not me
  12. WIJNALDUM PRICED AT £25M Everton have been quoted £25 million for Newcastle midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum. Ronald Koeman is keen to bring the Netherlands international to Goodison Park, but the price tag is £10m higher than the Magpies paid to sign Wijnaldum from PSV Eindhoven a year ago. --------------------------------------------- KOEMAN 'KEEPING TABS ON' MAN UTD MIDFIELDER Ronald Koeman is said to be keen on bringing Morgan Schneiderlin to Everton. The 26-year-old French international worked under the Dutchman for two seasons at Southampton before his move to Old Trafford last summer.
  13. I would agree completely. To be honest, Liverpool are the last f*cking team I want to sell him too - I'm fairly amazed they are seemingly the only team interested.
  14. Agree. While I would love to think we will hold out for £40m, I reckon we'll accept £35m
  15. Praet mentioned again: http://sportwitness.co.uk/belgian-star-keen-sign-southampton-summer/
  16. True. New tv money probably goes into improved wages as well as re-paying some of the debt that Kat wiped out.
  17. Well if he got appointed and we sell Vic / Mané / Pelle & add it to the Juanmi cash, he could be a chequebook manager here too with £60m to spend.
  18. I'm bound to have forgotten some spats and arguments, but one thing that strikes me about his time as City, is there seemed to be hardly any incidents in the background at City with him in charge? Mancini seemed to have massive arguments every couple of weeks back in the day. So Pellegrini can obviously keep the peace - Quite impressive given the ego's there.
  19. He's a unit, but as pangy says, would take HUGE ££'s.
  20. That's the question isn't it - Do we think Utd will still want Mane under Jose? - They'll surely want wide players. Liverpool's only chance of getting him is if they are the only bidders.

  22. You've answered your own question
  23. Certainly worth more than Sterling. Lets just say "IF" he's hell-bent on going: Would you take £40m this summer? or would you keep him one more season & sell for £15m next summer?
  24. The Sun Football ‏@TheSunFootball EXCLUSIVE: Southampton slap £40m price tag on Sadio Mane as Liverpool step up pursuit http://thesun.uk/6016BtvhI (Not quite sure how it's an exclusive)
