& if K.Billy is saying he hasn't been mentioned on here then he must be a particularly left-field choice.

Now that would be a strange world where we don't fancy FdB, but we want Oscar Garcia?
-
Can we rename the thread title to get his name right, please?!?
-
Mystery man is going to have to have a hell of a cv if he beats Garcia to the job.
-
Will be worth looking at how he got on with Totti & De Rossi - both legends at Roma.
-
Is he? Or is that just a cunning cover for his scouting of players for us?

Better keep him away from Kenzie Benali then!

Adam Blackmore @bigadamsport If odds dropping on Rudi Garcia being next #saintsfc are doing so for good reason, I would be pretty excited if I were a #saintsfc fan Adam Blackmore @bigadamsport Garcia fits #saintsfc bill - makes impact at clubs, happy to play youth, has an attacking style of play & lots of European experience

No, but there was mention of that mystery candidate.

Astori! An old annual transfer window link I'd forgotten about! I reckon Garcia might be on the list. For some reason I have a hunch it will be somebody who's not in work.

A good read. Thanks. Roma have had some players recently, haven't they?
-
Not really. But they play better football and seem to have got their scouting into gear lately. Whilst Stoke play better football & have better players, Berahino probably would have ambitions of a joining an ever bigger club, but you know what? Rather than sitting on Spurs' bench, he'll get plenty of game time at Stoke (and he gets his pay rise too so it'll probably work out for him). He pretty much wasted last season though. Should have knuckled down instead of throwing his toys out of the pram.

SuperSAINT replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
You should both watch the video at the top of this thread: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?56644-Les-Reed-Video-Interview-(From-2-Years-Ago)#.V2GU_rsrLIU Les Reed from a couple of years ago (in between Poch leaving & Koeman arriving) - It covers info on in's & out's in regards to a new coach, as well as player recruitment over a summer. -
Wasn't Steve Davis one of the senior pro's the club spoke with when Poch left as well? (Along with Kelv & Jose?)

Different sorts of players though. Tadic slower, more technical, with eye for a pass. Redmond more of an out-and-out winger with pace. Nice to have different tools in the tool box. -

Smart too, because if they turn out to be good signings, being English seemingly double's their value (as seen with Sterling's fee). -
^ Isn't he their captain?
-
I'd be very happy with that as it means no Forster bid.

KOEMAN KEEN ON KRUL AND WITSEL Everton boss Ronald Koeman will make Newcastle No 1 Tim Krul his first signing after taking over at Goodison Park on Tuesday, says the Daily Express. Meanwhile, the Dutchman is also said to be pondering a summer swoop for Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Axel Witsel.
