From SSN: Southampton appear to have competition for the signature of Colombian striker Teofilo Gutierrez. They have been strongly linked with a move for the River Plate player but his agent has been quoted as saying that Sevilla have also been checking on his progress. Gutierrez still has two years left on his deal with River Plate and any offer for the 29-year-old would have to satisfy his club and the investment group that owns 50 per cent of his rights.
