Let’s get the band back together with Bale & Ox to have the best physio room we’ve ever had.

He’s class… but doesn’t he still get injured a lot?
-
He sounds perfect 😄 Never realistic, IMO. Too many teams can blow us away.

Whatever happened to @The9 who used to post all the new shirt pics?

Would be a massive shame to lose him: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10840451/Southampton-youngster-Diamond-Edwards-attracting-number-clubs.html

I’d probably take an inconsistent goal scorer over ones who consistently don’t score

We do go around-the-houses a little bit. I’m sure I remember Ralph (ages ago) being really blunt and clear in a press conference that 1 keeper would get a new deal & 1 wouldn’t & would leave. Very blunt & honest, but after that, we’ve kind’ve tried to pretend that wasn’t the case (when it was always the case!)

Every season there’s a few of these moves for English keepers to “The Big Six” to sit in the bench. Got to credit him for getting back to the sort of form to put him on the radar, though. A really interesting spell he had here when you look at it.

‘Look at Southampton, we have a tremendous amount of respect for what they did with their academy. Yet over the last five years, under the current owner, they have destroyed that’.

U18 Premier League National Final: Saints 1-2 Man City

He finally got fit towards the end of the season and really started to hit form. Great to see. -
This is true. Interested to see how this plays out. We know there’s going to be a mini striker exodus this summer. I wonder how bad the rumoured fallout has been with Ralph?

Good attacking options on the bench too. -
From Mike McGrath (@telefootball) West Ham, Southampton, Brentford and Bournemouth are in a four-way fight for Hull winger Keane Lewis-Potter after expressing interest in the England Under-21 winger. Acun Ilicali, the Hull owner, has insisted he will reject £30 million offers for Lewis-Potter, who he describes as “God’s gift” to him after taking charge at the MKM Stadium last season. The 21-year-old, who has one season left on his contract, scored goals and Ilicali wants him to help mount a promotion charge to the Premier League next season. “Keane is like God’s gift to us,” said Ilicali. “He has extreme potential. He is going to be one of the biggest stars of the future. “Of course, we have big offers for him. If I had any interest in making any money, there cannot be a better deal than that. You buy a football club and you sell the left winger and you make enough money to make all the transfers. “But I reject all of these. Even if they offer £30 million to me, I will not sell him because I think his presence is much more important than anything for this club at the moment. He will be so useful for our team and our fans that I will not lose him.”

Regardless of games, there’s a lucrative market for experienced keepers to be No.2’s & 3’s higher up the league.

Very true. TBF, just beating City would be amazing in itself.

Hard to call it an exclusive when all names attached have been linked prior, but all the names are very “Saintsy”.

We might be looking for a bit of a striker re-build if Broja / Long / Arma all depart.

In positive news, Babic is back in training photos today.
