  1. Fantastic result today. I feared the worst watching Soccer Saturday, when Hudd's went 1-0 up so early, but fair play to saints for making it quite comfortable. Kelv deserves a special mention - That would've been a tense 8 or so minutes had they have scored that penalty. Hudds did their best to ruin the day, but you know what? Before kick-off, I just hoped we matched their result - and we did. So job done, and on to the next game.
  2. "Best performance of the season" http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/AcademyNews/0,,10280~2347489,00.html Well done, lads.
  3. Another massive game. An early goal would be lovely - Nout sure I could handle another Bristol Rovers game!
  4. What a f*cking result! Shame Fonte didn't have Viafara's legendary "I so sorry I ruined the party" t-shirt!
  5. Was that Rickie going to get the ball out the net to run it back to the half-way line after we got the 1st? Fair play to him for thinking we could win it - Winning mentality.
  6. I'll take the win any way we can get it at this stage of the season. Rovers have been quite handy lately, and since we are without Lallana, Chambo & even Morgan, I think it was a brilliant win. Real shame about Barney - I'm guessing this will mean Guly going back up top, with a Forte or N'guessan more game time. Connolly will no-way be able to play for long periods without getting injured. We've got 7 days to get ready for the best team in the league. No reason why we can't get something from them.
  7. Nice to read. Actually crazy to think how much Charlton & Sheff Wed have struggled. Think at the start of the season, it would've taken a brave man to say Sheff Wed / Charlton would be no-where near the play off's, especially with the calibre of manager that each one had (both since gone).
  8. Tricky game. Depends which Charlton turn up. They've still got quality in their side & BWP's pace will no doubt give us some problems. I'll take a win, no matter how we play.
  9. Brilliant result today. This will surely be one of the defining 3pts of the season - Great comeback by the lads today. They showed real spirit against a team that in pretty damn good form. All our rivals would've been totally gutted by our comeback. Bring on Charlton - We owe them.
  10. Fantastic result. Peterborough have started conceding goals again, which is a massive plus. We just have to overcome a VERY good MK Don's team tomorrow.
  11. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/8948516.Starlet_expected_to_make_decision_on_move/?ref=rss Decision maybe before the weekend?
  12. Nice work on reporting the rumour in the 1st place, MLG. Hope he signs. We'll find out next week if he 'does a Fulham' on us or not.
  13. Interesting rumour. Would be a bit of a coup - And he's only a first-year apprentice, so it'd be a fairly small fee.
  14. Jack Saville is another one - Is he still on the books?
  15. This must be linked in there somewhere... http://www.courtoffside.com/forum/showthread.php?t=47132
  16. Gecko's design's are always fantastic, but that home-shirt above might top the lot. Brilliant.
  17. Brilliant! - Just got in and read the results. Didn't see either of those 2 coming, so it's a case of so far, so good. Lots of twists and turns to come.
  18. And we spent money on him? FFS! Everyone out!!! Yup, good signing by all accounts. Young player, scores goals, makes goals, & plays in a position we need a signing! I'm not happy!
  19. From Solentsport twitter... Footnote: Jason Puncheon was at The Valley tonight, chatting with #Saintsfc players in tunnel after game NA says video replays suggest N'Guessan "goal" ONSIDE, Charlton "goal" NOT over the line #Saintsfc Nigel Adkins tells Solent he would categorically NOT recall Jason Puncheon, even if he was allowed to #Saintsfc

  21. Shame we're not getting anyone else in, but if push came to shove, I guess any from Lallana, Chambo, or Guly could do a job. Wonder if Ward-Prowse would be anywhere near the bench?
  22. They've not been playing well at all lately, but it's going to be a tricky game - They'll be right up for playing us. ....and whilst he never did the business for us, I worry about BWP's pace. CMS caused us all sorts of problems with his direct running at Peterborough.

    Run-in

Yup, totally agree. They are pretty much the reason Brighton are so far away from us IMO.
  24. Never a bad sign, Bailey. Cheers for posting that.
  25. Not pretty, but got the job done. Would much rather do that, than to play really well and fail to win. 1st half was obviously poor, but with some increase in tempo, we got a lot better in the 2nd half. Great header from Jose, and fantastic technique from Rickie for the goals. We've just nailed Wednesday, now bring on tuesday
