  1. Something similar happens in the lower Scottish leagues with the 2nd from bottom playing 2nd 3rd & 4th for the second promotion place as only 1 club the champion is guaranteed promotion.
  2. Been there hated going to work every day, always stressed, excessive hours, causing arguments with the wife, and when the company decided my position was going to be made redundant, but I could apply for another position within the company, that the duties that I hated were identical, but paying 6K a year less without the pension benefits. I was informed that if I did not get the position I would be made redundant. Told them I was not in the right frame of mind and needed to go on gardening leave, it was 5 weeks to the interview, has a long talk with the wife, came back on the day of the interview and told them I was going to take the redundanc (god were they shocked with that). Took 6 weeks off and started to look for a job and got one (not as much pay) in 2 weeks and was really happy with that job.
  3. Seriously considering going back to registered user only
  4. That made my day really laughed at that
  5. Funny first thing I thought was that as well
  6. Sextus Asbestos (F*ck you were fireproof)
  7. Unless of course the club bring pressure to name the culprit, what would you do take charge yourself with the associated ban perhaps from the club or let the suspected perpetrator or person who is signed up under that name take the charge. If somebody is stupid enough to make defamatory remarks they should man up and take any punishment due.
  8. My 2p's worth
  9. When you read in newspapers adverts that applications from certain ethnic groups are actively encouraged.
  10. What upset me is not the anti discrimination but the positive discrimination, where if you are part of a minority group, you are guaranteed an interview for a job regardless if you are qualified for the job just because they are part of a minority group, but because I am a white Anglo Saxon with all the correct qualifications and relative experience, my CV gets thrown in the bin. Everybody should be given a chance based on their abilities. On discrimination and insurance how long will it be before somebody aged 17 claims that they are being age discriminated against them and we all end up paying £1000 a year again lining the insurance companies pockets because "they do not want to upset an EU lawmakers".
  11. Hamster, when your on the narrow boat and you come to a tunnel, you have got to go through the tunnel the old fashion method, laying on the to of the boat and walk it through the tunnel.
  12. There is the traditional Welsh sport of running around fields with Wellington's 2 sizes too large Seriously take in a local rugby game and a few post game drinks in the club on a Saturday

  14. No Sh*t Sherlock
  15. That is not the correct interpretation, the deduction will apply in the season that the reason for point deduction occurs (i.e. Administration), if you are 11 points above the relegation zone and you survive you are ok and have taken your deduction, no points deduction next season. If the point taken off take you into the relegation zone, you are relegated. If you are relegated without the points deduction being added, you are relegated and the points deduction is given at the start of next season as we were. This rule was bought in because Leeds were already relegated and went into admin when they knew they were down to avoid the deduction that would have relegated them or have the deduction next season if they went into admin after the season finished.
  16. Trouble is according to the wife they all have red soles so, TDD's missus would spot they were not Christian Louboutin
  17. Always remember that an interview is a 2 way exchange of views, so do not let it get to them just asking you questions, favourites of mine is "Why should I come and work for you" and "If I am successful, what opportunities for career progression will there be with your company. As someone who has has to plough through CV's make the font easy to read, Hit them hard with relevant info at the Top (i.e. in a Profile and then followed by quick Achievements section). In the Education section Promote your degree and mark if its a good one, but at schools and college just mention 4 A levels and subjects but do not mention marks unless it is really relevant. Same with GCSE's. No more than 2 pages but preferably one. Sir John Harvey Jones the business guru only had a 1 page CV with all his experience.
  18. If the children had your surname and your name on their birth certificate, I thought that the if your partner had a different surname you actually had more bright than she did nowadays
  19. That that is likely to be the place that they first encounter bigotry and bullying
  20. I find that strange, because when I had divorced parents in 1972, I stayed with my father and we had none of these issues, perhaps things have got less tolerant rather than more tolerant.
  21. Their child will be fortunately be rich enough to be bought up in an environment that bullying probably will not occur, unfortunately the same could not be said for a child in similar circumstances that will be attending your local comprehensive school.
  22. At least he is not having to watch that dancing on ice rubbish

  24. Why do I need to spend bucket loads of money on exorbitantly overpriced roses for an American greeting card day, when I tell my wife I love her every day of the year.
