I won't boo any player wearing the shirt if they are on the pitch playing for us they get my support. Booing is just counter productive during a game.

England are the Southampton of international football... they show some promise but sit below the best http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4848990/England-Southampton-international-football.html

didn't score though....
-
yeah he often wants a touch to many he needs to be coached to look for Gabbi earlier.
-
I'm not saying Gabbi is the same as Pelle (although Pelle got his fair share of goals from well timed through balls he wasn't all headers at the back post) but I still maintain we get the best out of Tadic and Gabbi if those two can get an understanding of each others game. Of all the players we have in the team I still reckon Tadic is the most likely to supply the right ammo for Gabbi. What ever we need to cut out the endless crap crosses into the box to get the best out of forward line.
-
I think he needs to be played our best hope is that Tadic and Gabbi get the sort of partnership going that Tadic had with Pelle that only comes with consistent game time.
-
So lets say he decides he can't play for the whole season that would make it 18 odd months since he kicked a ball in an actual game. How many big clubs are going to be looking to sign a player who hasn't played a game for 18 months and we still don't have to sell him next summer either. At the end of the day VVD ultimately ends up harming his own career more by not playing than he does saints.

Its not one person though is it? but you crack on trying to make out it is in attempt to make you look like a reasonable poster rather than the hysterical tart everyone knows you are. Maybe you could get your Wreck it Ralph avatar out again..

**** me damned if they do damned if they don't. We get absolute meltdown on here every summer when we sell good players and we finally have a window were we don't we have people saying we should have sold them.. So are all those saying we should have cashed on VVD saying the same about Mane, Pelle, Morgan, Victor, Clyne etc etc or is this just a new stick to beat the club with?

I would have said Man U. -
and Victor..
-
Probably because he couldn't actually manage more than 60 minutes in the PL before he was blowing out his arse.
-
If we were that desperate to sell why would we wait until the last day of the window to sell we could have done a deal with Liverpool all summer if we had wanted.
-
No doubt last summer we dropped the ball big time with some poor signings leaving several areas of the squad that needed sorting but the chances of us sorting all of them in one window were slight IMO. Given that holding onto our best and strengthening some weaknesses in the squad (even if they were self inflicted by poor recruitment last summer) has to go down as a good window in my book even if we didn't get every thing done I would have liked.
-
It's a comment piece...
-
Last season people were crying out for a DM and another CB we got both of those and we have off loaded some dead weight from the squad. Assuming no last minute deals we have also kept hold of our best players for the first summer in years. Considering some of your previous summer meltdowns I can't believe you can't consider this a good window. Fans always want more, of course, I'd like a really good AM with a high assist rate to get the best out of strikers and I had hoped for a new goal keeper rather than reward Forster for being **** but really assuming no last minute sales this has got to go down as a good summer for us.
-
I don't think so. Not much different than the Koemans signing Cuco or Eljero Elia, or Puel signing Pied. Same as spurs bizarre signing of Paulo Gazzaniga until you find out that Poch and Paulo are family friends.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41098529 latest BBC article reckons Liverpool are paying £40 million for the Ox and he has turned down a 180K a week from arsenal for 120K a week at Liverpool. -
Doubt we will see him in a saints shirt again. I don't think he ever really made the grade in the PL. Clasie's signing always came across as Koeman doing a mate a favour.
-
They are waiting on us because after they got caught tapping up VVD they agreed they would only bid for him if we gave them the green light to.

Amazing that for someone that is supposedly so in demand as yet we haven't had one reported offer from anyone for VVD.

Koeman is starting to sound like vintage 'Arry after the Chelsea game he said he still needed another striker on top of what he has already got. I'm all for a bit of ambition but it all seems a bit kid in a sweet shop at the moment could work out great, of course, but sometimes to many signings can be damaging.
