    Koeman

I'll let you piece the rumours together https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/2780308/helen-wood-wayne-rooney-prostitute-big-brother-winner http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1248650/Avram-Grant-Thai-massage-brothel.html
  2. Might work if utd play their cup final team...
  3. I think the difference is Lemina is getting a lot of praise from pundits even fans of other teams seemed to have taken notice of him Hoj didn't really get that kind of coverage just saints fans saying he looked decent after his first couple of games.

    Koeman

Why Bolasie? He is a one trick pace pony, a poor mans Shane Long, that they massively over paid for if he is the answer to their problems they've got bigger problems than I realised.
  5. Didn't we experiment with 5 at the back against Wolves were frankly it was horrible with players looking like fish out of water. It's not out of the realms of possibility but to play it well it would probably take some serious training ground drilling for a few weeks.

    Koeman

Everton manager Ronald Koeman says Manchester United counterpart Jose Mourinho's claim that the Goodison Park club are aiming for "at least" the top four this season is unrealistic. Mourinho made the observation in his programme notes before United's 4-0 home win over the Toffees, citing their £140m of summer spending as evidence. But Koeman said: "Is there anybody who sees this as realistic for Everton? "Please, come on. Fans, press - we need time." When asked what he considered to be a realistic target, the Dutchman said: "The same as last season." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41302168
  7. Made it into Garth Crooks team of the week My goodness, this lad looks a powerhouse. I suppose when you've played for one of the biggest clubs in the world, you should have all the tools to survive in any league. However, what I witnessed in Southampton's Mario Lemina was a player who seemed to stifle Crystal Palace's every move. The former Juventus man was composed on the ball and timely in the tackle - and for a holding midfielder, he was very capable of hurting the opposition. Lemina is a top-four player in my opinion and fair play to Southampton for making the purchase. Why he is not playing for Liverpool or Arsenal is a mystery to me. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41301493 mmmmmm...

    Redmond

Well if that's the criteria most players are going to be a bit crap...
  9. More than 10 minutes in, Everton are yet to touch the ball in the Man Utd half! TBF I'm laughing at Everton but I doubt we will do much better next week Man U are a different team to the last few seasons.
  10. Toffee talk in full meltdown.. Pickford must be thinking "****e this team is another sunderland!" Please please please walk koeman. 16 months £200m spent and you are setting us up like Swindon... joke http://www.toffeetalk.com/topic/28730-manchester-united-away-sunday-september-17/?page=3
  11. Everton 1-0 down after 4 minis Absolutely sensational! It's a screamer from Antonio Valencia to give Manchester United an early lead. The ball is worked left to right, Nemanja Matic sweeps it across the front of the 18-yard box and Valencia, arriving from right-back, connects first time with his right foot, the sweetest connection into the roof of the net. A wonderful, wonderful strike.
  12. I've just realised we are above Arsenal in the table, have exactly the same points and goal difference as Liverpool and Newcastle are 4th
  13. Really? I think we are miles off them. Watford beat us rather easily (minus Lemina to be fair which might have made a difference) and yet City destroyed them with barely breaking a sweat. The Manchester sides seem to have gone up another level this season.
  14. I remember an interview Redmond did with Solent last season when he mentioned that Puel had wanted him to run at the opposition more and try and get into the box and for a few games last season, in and around the cup final, he did that but now he seems to regressed to playing it safe again. While he isn't a unit he is relatively quick with good feet all I want is for him to get the ball and drive at opposition defenders he will lose the ball sometimes but it would be preferable to safe back passing.
  15. Just watched the extended highlights on the O/s my take is we were fortunate to be playing a team even more lacking in front of goal than us arguably Palace had the best goal scoring opportunities of the game and we rode our luck at times. We still lack any sort of goal threat I don't think Long had one meaningful attempt on goal. The midfield was much improved over last week Lemina, Romeu and Davis is probably our best central midfield set up. Forster showed his best asset as a keeper yesterday, close range shots were he can make that big frame of his count are where he does his best work, we just need the defence to stop the opposition taking any long range shots at him. Overall a big improvement on Watford but still a lot of work to be done especially on our attacking threat.
  16. Can't see us getting much out of this game United look a much better team than last season and while we've started the season OK we haven't exactly set the world alight considering the calibre of our opposition so far this season. we would have to seriously up our game to trouble united this season I reckon.
  17. Just read this piece SOUTHAMPTON’S MIDFIELD TRIO SHINES When observers pause to consider which are the best midfields in the Premier League – Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester United, and Man City will likely appear in some order at the top of every list, and rightly so. After that, however, Southampton’s trio of Steven Davis, Mario Lemina, and Oriol Romeu have a reasonable claim to being the next best. An insipid Palace side is admittedly not the best measuring stick, and the Saints did lose their previous game 2-0 at home to Watford, but on Saturday the Davis-Lemina-Romeu axis bossed the game, with Davis adding the icing on the cake with his goal. Lemina, Southampton’s record signing, is still getting used to a new league and new team-mates, but his understanding with the two players beside him will only get better – and as it does, so will Southampton. http://www.bing.com/news/apiclick.aspx?ref=BDIGeneric&aid=C98EA5B0842DBB9405BBF071E1DA7651530FFE51&tid=4B5CDFC797BB4C38AAFC2EA9F1DFE480&url=http%3a%2f%2fsport360.com%2farticle%2ffootball%2fenglish-premier-league%2f248613%2froy-hodgsons-appointment-makes-no-difference-and-other-talking-points-as-crystal-palace-lose-to-southampton-1-0%2f&c=11608444429043663022&mkt=en-gb
  18. Ooooh a win and a goal nice!
  19. Didn't they go on a losing streak last season before they dropped Wilshere to the bench and started winning? By the end of the season he was a bench warmer for Bournemouth.
  20. Unlike FDB though he has only lost one league game so far. It's all immaterial anyway as saints aren't a knee jerk sacking club, these days, if rumours are to believed they were happy for Puel to stay...I imagine saints boss is one of the least stressful jobs in the PL.
  21. Sounds like some expectation management going on by Ronald During Friday's news conference, Koeman was also asked whether expectations were too high after Everton spent more than £130m during this summer's transfer window. "Maybe it's really easy to tell everybody that Everton will be fourth in the table and will fight for the Champions League because they have spent a lot of money," he added. "But maybe the rest of the teams have spent even more money. And they didn't spend that money this summer because they already have the team they need. "Our team is in transition. Everybody knows as young player and foreign player coming to the Premier League, they need time." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41283654
  22. I think our overall current shot to goal conversion rate is around 13% so I bet our set piece conversion rate is well below 3%.
  23. When Les joined in 2010 one of the areas under his control was scouting. So you really think despite being in charge of scouting he had no input on player signings and Nicky came up with all the signings on his own? Reed, who also coached Fulham, will oversee four main areas at Southampton - the academy, scouting, sports medicine and equipment Procurement http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/8625569.stm
