isn't it obligatory for modern football fans to call for a manager to be sacked after every loss now. Everton will be fine and probably finish 7th again if Everton fans want more than that they are deluded.

There was a point in the second half when Bertrand got in front of a Watford player and was Shepherding the ball back to Forster, expecting Forster to come for the ball, instead he stayed glued to his line. Bertrand was forced to pick the ball up and try and dribble it out of danger. He got no support from any saints players, got closed down by two Watford players and ended up conceding a corner. Forster seems to have some sort of unnatural aversion about leaving his line.

I think we've been pretty consistent so far 1 goal from open play in 5 games is pretty consistent.

Little of evidence that is going to happen, so far, in fact MoPe is making Puel look like the Great Entertainer. The only entertaining game, in league or cup, this season has been WH and that owed more to the ref and Wham players brain farts than it did to saints.

It's not four games though. These kind of performances (well maybe not quite as bad yesterday) were a feature of the end of last season, pre season and our cup run (of one whole game). If yesterday was a one off it would be an over reaction but these sort of performances have become the normal now.

I think that is the mistake people fell into last season its a bloody average squad made worse by, on the evidence of the games played so far, of a lack of a discernible style or plan.

And now we aren't? We changed manager but the results and style is the same the squad is poor I think in time people will realise Puel did a decent job getting 8th and a cup final with this squad. I'm not convinced MoPe is going to do any better even given he has had better support in the transfer market and no Europe to deal with.

It was suggested but there has never been any evidence of us doing so.

If we had swapped managers and kept the same teams yesterday Watford would still have won they were bigger, stronger and faster all over the pitch our team has become incredibly small and light weight teams just bully us.

no really? the problem was Davis being played out of position as a DM and JWP playing at all. Playing a Sigurdsson type midfielder wouldn't have help today. We need to control the centre of the park as a platform for attacking and that hasn't happened much since we lost Vic (and Morgan).

Despite letting in two I didn't think the defence was that bad today especially given the lack of protection from midfield Cedric was arguably our best player today.

I guess the clappers are in for the season along with loads of footie tourists...happy days "My Way" seems to have been relegated to one song in a Saint's history montage on the big screen sadly the clips of Channon, MLT, Pahars and Lambert scoring is actually more exciting than the match. The club are clearly trying to improve the atmosphere but until the stuff on the pitch improves they are fighting a losing battle

I'm pretty sure we can't play Clasie and **** knows what has happened to Hoj (though last season he did actually manage to be worse than both JWP and Davis which is quite a feat) not sure either of them would have helped to day anyway Clasie is not fit enough or physical enough and Hoj can't complete a 5 yard pass with out giving the ball away.

That's a stretch. Watford were big and powerful with a bit of pace on the break, but they weren't particularly good, both their goals came from long range shots from (poorly) cleared set pieces clearly more entertaining to watch than saints, at the moment, but then so is wet paint drying...

Wouldn't have made any difference today our problem is a powder puff midfield that can't control games we couldn't get hold on to the ball long enough to create any decent chances that an attackers could score.

so don't play most of the midfield, play three strikers and a load of CBs and DMs seems balanced..

Really on what evidence? we managed a cup final and 8th last season people said we were capable of more. We changed manager and so far we out of the cup and on the level performance we've managed so far 8th would be a miracle people need to realise the squad is not a good as it use to be.

He is still young just wait until he is Dele Alli's age JWP will be mustard.....

Thought he did alright today. I don't think either of our CBs can be blamed for the goals today and they coped pretty well considering the almost total lack of cover from the midfield.

The problem today was we couldn't win the ball in midfield to actually create anything until the last 10mins or so when Watford sat back on their lead. Normally we create chances and don't convert them today we didn't even create them.

The issue last season was a lot of the Puel out brigade refused to admit how ****ing average the squad had become. They were adamant the team was good and it was all the managers fault yet new manager same (actually worse) crap becuase while their is usually stuff a manager can improve on in the end a worker is only as good as his tools and ours are blunt and rusty...

Fecking awful from start to finish far worse than anything we served up last season. MoPe still doesn't seem to have actually improved anything yet. We were second best all over the pitch but worst of all in midfield where we were just out muscled. More concerning was the constant hoofing today like we were trying to hit the channels for a pacey striker even though we didn't have one on the pitch until late in the game.
