I thought we just needed a change of manager to bring out the talent in the squad? Maybe...just maybe some of us pointing out that the team was painfully average last season weren't talking crap after all. I reckon last seasons 8th and a cup final is going to look pretty ****ing good come the end of this season.

To get the best out of Tadic we need him and Gabbi to click that will only happen if they play regularly together we need to perceiver with those two. Hoedt fair enough though none of us have a clue if he is any good in the air TBF.

well watching the game on the O/S they u23s certainly play like the 1st team pass, pass, pass until turd in the final third...

Ignoring the cup game (where you always get changes) why does everyone want to change the winning (even if they made hard work off it) team against Wham? The team against Wham was probably our strongest side (the jury being out on the new CB) so we might as well play them together as much as possible. Last season people were raging about constant unenforced changes to the team.

Exactly no academy churns out star after star year in year out. At least some of our youngsters actually turn out for the club. It will be interesting to see how many of the young England players who did well this summer actually turn out for their club sides especially those who play for the likes of Chelsea and Man City.

We're away from home. Last season that was normally a plus we seem to play better away from SMS these days. I'm kind of expecting us to win this and look quite good doing it only to look poor at Home in the following game.

Wasn't his dad also his agent? I seem to remember, it was suggested, he was set to make a decent amount of money off Ox moving to Arsenal and was pushing hard for it.

I'm not convinced the Ox can do a job as a commanding CB...

I was thinking there are a few posters that last season would have gone into an apocalyptic breakdown if the team had played like that but this season seem ok with it...

No chance of that with an attacking quartet of Tadic, Austin, JWP and Boufal the Wolves defenders grew in confidence when they realised they they had the beating of all our main attacking threats in a foot race to the ball the only player that posed a danger was Boufal but it didn't take the opposition long to realise that he would eventual lose the ball trying one trick to many and fall over his own feet.

Pretty much the same could be levelled at Boufal to be fair his desire to beat at least 4 men before a pass slows down our attacks

This is my take on Tadic he doesn't look the same player without Pelle and Mane around him. Tadic and Austin just don't seem to be on the same wave length at all last night they were getting in each other's way trying to occupy the same space and they just don't seem to be able to link u their passes and runs. I thought Gabbi would be a good foil for Tadic but they don't seem to have clicked at all either.

Tadic and Austin seem to have absolutely no understanding of each others game they were getting in each other's way during the game. Tadic plays the wrong balls for Austin and Austin makes the wrong runs for Tadic to pick out . Is it a coincidence that Tadic's best work was with Pelle and Mane in the side two players he seemed to click with?

I don't know why people think Boufal is going to make an impact he is just bloody Fabrice Fernandes mk 2
