  1. Pay rise?
  2. Previous CBs like Lovern, Toby and Fonte also had the benefit of Morgan and/or Victor sitting in front of them which made two decent CB look very good and one very good CB look even better.
  3. Actually thought it worked quiet well when used along side the Marcus video so maybe we just keep it for that once a year.
  4. Yeah but at least we sorted out the keeper situation with some nice new contracts....
  5. I thought Swansea were holding out for 50million+ guess not.
  6. I had you down as Michael Wilde tbh...
  7. I just assumed Tom was this seasons club PR plant (weather he is aware or not) we always seem to have ITK each summer who seems to get fed stuff that you felt the club wanted put out there without being to upfront about it.......or maybe I just like conspiracy theories.
  8. I thought Cedric was really good against Swansea certainly don't want to see him leave this summer.
  9. The ticket numbers include STs though wouldn't be surprised if a few ST holders are actually away on holidays this time of year but still get counted in attendance figures.
  10. Chinese tycoon Gao Jisheng buys Southampton for a seat in planet’s most-viewed sports league http://www.bing.com/news/apiclick.aspx?ref=BDIGeneric&aid=C98EA5B0842DBB9405BBF071E1DA7651530FFE51&tid=5557209A3D1A495FA49CE53AA5D95361&url=http%3a%2f%2fwww.scmp.com%2fbusiness%2fbanking-finance%2farticle%2f2106862%2fchinese-tycoon-gao-jisheng-buys-southampton-seat-planets&c=8675128372224402152&mkt=en-gb
  11. Pretty sure that would be jobs for the girls...
  12. Yeah but most of the problems come from English to English club sales. Players going from the PL to Barca and their ilk are pretty rare so while not perfect closing the window the day before the season started would still help.
  13. We'll I'm not exactly jumping for joy a bit nervous how this will pan out. I'm dubious they have the sort of money needed to make a real difference in the PL so for me best case scenario is they are very hands off and the let things carry on much as they are. Time will tell I guess.
  14. That's from 9 days ago and has already been discussed the bloke who came out with this crap is Graeme Kelly who describes himself as a a social media in-the-know on transfer news...basically the guy doesn't have a ****ing clue but was made to look bad when he claimed VVD to Liverpool was a done deal.

  16. Home games against WHU are almost always dire affairs no doubt Andy Carroll will crawl of his death bed to score against us before going back on the sick...
  17. £50 million? will be interesting to see if that number is enough the club were touting £75 million plus earlier in the summer weren't they?
  18. This is the way to do it (of course it helps if you are one of Europe's super clubs) Ousmane Dembele: Borussia Dortmund forward suspended 'until further notice' http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40915804
  19. Not true the final third was remarkable similar to games last season. We pressed more than last season and we moved the ball forward with more purpose but when we got in around the opposition area it was the same lack of clinical finishing and the same amount of banging high crosses into a box packed full of opposition players while not getting enough of our own players into the box as we had last season.
  20. Early season best to give hm 10 games before passing judgement.
  21. Does anyone know the last time we scored a direct free kick I think it was JWP at home vs WBA two seasons ago but that can't be right surely?
  22. Personally if I had the option I replace both of them with someone better but If I had to pick one to play it would be Davis the fact that and aging Davis is still one of our better options says more about our transfer policy than anything else.
  23. We certainly pressed more and looked to play the ball forward more but in the final third we looked much the same lots of crosses into a crowded opposition box with to few saints players in the box to capitalize.
  24. I'm guessing so. Hoj and Clasie not even making the bench yesterday was pretty damning. I expect Lemina and Romeu will become our standard midfield this season leaving JWP and Davis fighting it out for the third position in behind the striker although Boufal looked good in that position when he came on so that's another option.
  25. Well for a start he is the captain so he has to play. Secondly Davis is having to play as a holding midfielder (which is a damning statement of our other midfield options) which isn't the best use for him he should be playing were JWP played yesterday he is much better than JWP in the position behind the striker.
