Attackers off the bench isn't really an issue though and Lamberts' lack of game time over two seasons will have taken it's toll. Personally think the guy is a legend but there would be no benefit to him coming back now.

Reckon lambert will see out his Westbrom contract and then retire. I did expect Nigel to do better but football is never that predictable I guess.

Tadic is what he. He gets us assists and the odd goal and is, in general, decent on the attack as long as he is playing on the left (where him and Bertrand can be very good). He is not however much cop on the defensive side, doesn't give his fullback much cover and isn't a big fan of tracking back. Personally I like having him in the team playing (4-3-3 or whatever) because on his day he gives us a different type of threat to Long and Mane. However if it's an nervy 1-0 lead we are holding onto or we want to keep it tight as the away team (playing 5/3 at the back) then don't have the lad in the team.

I think his weird nipple squeezing antics after Benteke's miss were slightly disturbing...

There were some blokes sat near me who left after the second Liverpool goal and never came back...says it all really.

As we play spurs in the penultimate game of the season. I'd like to beat Leicester to give spurs real hope and then beat them in that game at WHL to cruelly snatch the title from them ideally with poch and Kane sobbing on the touchline as the final whistle blows.

My take is it was a stonewall regardless of the ball it was a two handed push in Long's back from Lovern. Long moving in front of Lovern, to protect the ball, is to my mind no different from a defender getting in the way to see a ball out of play. At the time I thought Lovern should have a red card as tye last man but on the replays another Liverpool defender is covering so for me stonewall pen but no red card. The other point is if the Ref thought Long was looking for the pen shouldn't he have booked Long for diving?

Yep not sure what Martina was doing at times yesterday. In the first half he seemed to be taking up positions in central midfield which is slightly odd for a full back. Second half he was better but so was the whole team.

Yeah not looking anywhere near as effective now Pelle is back in the team. Worked his socks off as he always does. But really he needed balls in behind or over the top of a not very good Liverpool defence yesterday for him to work with but we just kept banging balls into Pelle's chest first half.

Do we ever play well after an international break? We should have beaten Leicester at sms earlier in the season( but we did a Liverpool) but I think we will struggle to get much out of this game if I'm honest.

He always turns up against the big sides and looks good it's against the Westbroms, Stokes and Norwichs of the league that he hasn't done well this season.
