Which is the problem he turns up against the big teams and then is pretty average when playing anyone else.

7pts and six places ahead of Chelsea at this time of the season. If anyone had told me that last summer and have thought they were a bit special

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 1-0 West Ham United
doddisalegend replied to Minsk's topic in The Saints
Hardly embarrassing. I've stuck up for Yoshida in the past but there is no getting away from the fact he has had more than his far share of defensive howlers this season (and before). So it is hardly a surprise that some fans aren't that excited about him being in the first 11. He was ok yesterday (nicely taken goal tbf) and being part of a three is probably to his benefit but even then he was probably lucky with the Valencia tackle which some refs would have given. -
Still think it will be Leicester I think they have unstoppable momentum (bar mass injuries) now. Hopefully we will beat spurs and deny them the title by 3pts ?

4th tightest defence in the Premier League

And a good goal keeper..... -
Replacing an attacking player who hasn't scored since last October could be pretty tricky........ yes I'm aware he is exciting going forward but really were is the end product at the moment? No goals in ages and not a lot of assists either. I really like Mane but right now he is well under par compared to last season.

Well I'll put my hand up and say I did a bit of a face palm when Yoshida's name came on the team sheet
-
Considering todays results a win for us would be really nice .........................well it's always nice it would just be a little bit nicer today:)

Pretty much the story of Leicester's season they are the complete anti-version of possession football but considering how well it's working I doubt they are bothered.

Lets hope. So I get the feeling the big six are going to go mad next summer on spending and new managers. Pep to Man city is going to kick things off so this will probably be the only chance to see someone else, other than one of the usual suspects, win the PL. If it can't be saints hell let it be Leicester. Next season I think the status quo will be well and truly back in place in the PL.

Saints v West Ham Build Up - Game now Saturday 6th Feb 1730

Oh I'm sure there will be some of that going on in the match thread -
2011 just called it want's it's thread back.....

Funny how fans of different teams measure success. If saints has achieved half as much as Arsenal has under Wenger I'd be well chuffed and yet Arsenal fans complain about finishing in the top four every season and picking up the odd bit of silverware as if it's a massive failure.

Appeals to the yoof most fans under 15 don't realise football exists outside of the xbox.....

The issue hasn't really been about offering players contracts ( apart from Cork) more that players don't want to sign new ones. Case in point victor has stalled contract talks amid interest from Arsenal (allegedly) http://www.footballgossip.org.uk/index.php/2016/02/04/arsenal-target-wanyama-stalls-over-contract/

There you go Carroll recovers faster than expected from his injury so he can face saints. No doubt after scoring against us he will then trip over a small stone head backing to the west ham team coach, after the game, and be out for the rest of the season..... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3431371/West-Ham-striker-Andy-Carroll-fit-face-Southampton-Sam-Byram-misses-out.html -

Isn't he always? I reckon him and Sturridge only ever get fit to score against saints before becoming injured again.... -
Bloody tight between 7-12th position one bad/good result can see you go up or down a fair few places luckily (Everton aside) we have the best goal difference in that little group of teams. Get a result against West ham and we then have three very winnable fixtures after that.

Quite interesting this is video from last seasons game vs Arsenal Forster was pretty bloody good that day to

I doubt it they've been linked with victor and before that Morgan and never made a bid for either. Wenger seems to prefer our young boys when shopping at saints.
