Yep cant keep that tempo up over such a short period of time.

Nope we need to take our chances we need a a striker who scores regularly and some midfielders who can score we haven't had a constant goal threat from central midfield since we arrived in the PL.

Story off the ****ing season need a top striker.....

Arsenal game and 1st half has caught up with our player now. So many times this season we haven't taken advantage when we are on top if we had a goal scoring AM and a really good striker we'd be flying this season.

Was that never good enough for the PL Antonio who just scored.

Can't say we've looked all that unfit to me this season. last few days would be tough on any player imo

Wouldn't be surprised if we fade this half 90 mins of hard work against arsenal and playing out of their skins for another 45 mins 2 days latter is bound to catch up to with the players. Not punishing teams when we are on top is a bit of a theme this season.

Training ground fall out.....ouch

Looks like koeman identified the main issue with the team recently and worked on it.. Long also revealed how a more light-hearted approach to training from Koeman helped Saints’ kick-start their stuttering season. He said: “We’ve had a few meetings and try to get our confidence back in training. “The gaffer made it a bit more fun this week, had the lads joking and you could see the results of that today."

Interesting quote from Shane Long I read this morning. Think Koeman had it spot on decent players lacking confidence. Hopefully the Arsenal game has given the team a big confidence boost for wham and the boys will play how we know they can. Also sounds like Long might not be able to put in the same shift again so maybe put Juanmi in for a start? “After the Tottenham game the gaffer said to us it wasn’t our formation which was causing us problems, it was more mental and confidence. Horses for courses we've looked good with Pelle playing to. Really weather Long or Pelle plays should surely be down ro the opposition and which player gives us the best chance of winning?

First goal makes a big difference. Last few games I've been to we've not taken our chances when on top and then the defence has had a brain fart. Each time that has happened you can see the whole team deflate. Getting the first goal last night ( probably against the run of play) made all the difference and the players seemed to grow into the game. I really don't think we've been as bad as some think over the last few weeks but the lack of finishing has been a problem which has buggered the teams confidence. Hopefully last night will bring the confidence back.
