  1. I think he might be in for a shock. They'll sign PL players nearing the end of their careers or talented lower league players not one player on that list would consider Bournemouth a good career move. They'll need a few seasons in the PL for that.
  2. I think that's what Mopo is hoping for. If it wasn't for the pesky Europa league they would have been pushing for the top four ...........
  3. I guess Spurs have missed all the references Morgan has made about playing in the champions league then:lol: Also this swap stuff has to be crap doesn't it? Spurs can offer all the players they like if the players don't want to come here the deal can't go through.
  4. At least this time around Ronald has come out and said he is staying, unlike Poch's "will I won't I?" routine this time last season, and the board are settled, with a bit more experience, that should bring the stability to this summers planning that seemed missing last summer. No doubt players will be sold but I'm willing to bet we look more of an attractive prospect to new players this summer than we did during last summer's "Melt down" meaning recruiting decent replacements should be easier.
  5. In fairness I've just seem that Balotelli managed 22 touches during his time on the pitch http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32508296
  6. Well that's what happens when you go from regular football every week to 5 minute cameos here and there. Shame really I reckon he could have still done a good job for a lower half prem team like Hull or villa and played regular football. Moving to Liverpool has pretty much ****ed his career.
  7. I'm pretty sure we had similarly worded statements last season of course the club wants our best players to stay the players (and their agents) might not see it the same way. I'm pretty confident Koeman is staying which for me is the big one.
  8. So basically they can thank us for their success because we loaned and paid for them to have a top class keeper.... You're welcome Bournemouth:D
  9. Why? do other teams give us any respect when they are trying to take our players? Football is dog eat dog if the Saints squad are going to get ripped apart every summer, by bigger clubs, I'm sure as hell not going to be upset about us doing it to other smaller clubs. Only one club I care about and it Bournemouth HTBH.
  10. When did the tribal aspect of football disappear then? Are we now supposed to politely clap and give three cheers for teams and their fans that come to SMS part of the fun of football, surely, is a bit of banter between the fans. I don't see why Bournemouth should get treated anymore politely than any other visiting team.
  11. All set for the big one, next season, on Solent Willow vs Merrington
  12. I'm pretty sure the pitch at SMS is going to have pretty effective drainage it's not like peoples back lawns laid on clay and builders rubble Good article on the pitch up keep here https://www.pitchcare.com/magazine/saint-andrew.html The important paragraph is probably this one The stadium pitch is watered daily using a Hunter system with fourteen G995 sprinkler heads around the pitch and six I-90 turf risers in two sets of three within the pitch, these being installed in the summer break specifically with pre-match and half-time watering in mind. "Short and wet is what modern day players and coaches insist on," says Andy.
  13. I wonder how the PL big wigs will feel about having Bournemouth in the "greatest league in the world" tm ? Fair play to them I suspect they will be similar to Burnley work hard, play some nice football at times but ultimately struggle to attract enough quality players to survive.
  14. Just because a school is grade by Ofsted it doesn't always tell the full story. Both my kids went to an outstanding infant school and both were IMO let down in their education (for different reasons one wasn't pushed at all the other was pushed to much). Both moved onto a junior school that required improvement (or as it used to be called satisfactory) and both excelled grew in confidence and did well and actually enjoyed school. There is more to schools and teaching than SATs results.
  15. Liverpool fan at work reckoned Pelle was a "hell of a player" after the weekend. TBF he only had MOTD highlights to go on and has had to watch Ballotelli most of the season...
  16. Djuruic is an odd one I thought we had brought him in to give us a more attacking AM/10 thought he looked good against Liverpool but has hardly featured since I now he has had some fitness problems but he doesn't seem to have forced his way into the team at all. I'd keep the other two, but I doubt very much we will be able to keep Toby, if the price is right I think Eli offers something as a squad player.
  17. DOF would be right up 'Arrys street in charge of the player transfers with none of that pesky coaching stuff to worry about....and maybe he could even help Eddie pick the team.
  18. Saw that fair play especially as a loan player with only a few games of the season left.
  19. No room for Morgan or Clyne? Still well done to Ryan been consistently good this season.
  20. TBF they gave out loads of free tickets to schools and youth football teams so I doubt half the crowd were actually Eastleigh fans.
  21. Yep can't see past a return to the football league for Bristol Rovers.......followed by re-signing Lambert:p
  22. See the daily Echo article the important bit highlighted below http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/12901593.Campaign_hots_up_to_turn_St_Mary_s_orange_and_help_Saints_march_on_to_Europe/ The idea to get Saints fans to wear orange came from Liam Edgar, who runs clothing range Raw Spirit. As revealed by the Daily Echo yesterday, the 29-year-old designed a specially made orange T-shirt with the Dutch boss's inspiring quote “the key is to believe in ourselves” emblazoned on the front. The T-shirt costs £15 and can be bought online at uniquesaints.co.uk
  23. yep again
  24. yep............
  25. according to the BBC we only had 36% possession that can't be right can it? Thought both sides were pretty evenly matched think we just edged it certainly we were far more dangerous going forward but at expense of our defence. Think I would have preferred Toby back in defence and Reed as the second DM but yoshida has been pretty solid recently so I can see Koeman's thinking.
