Doubt it Chelsea are in limbo trying to get Conte out of the door without paying him to much. Their players are returning to pre-season without even knowing who the manager will be. And player transfers are on hold until a new manager is sorted.

Moved on where? The problem is we gave him a long and lucrative contract and hid stock has dropped off a cliff. Any team who might take a punt on him probably can't afford his wages. I reckon the best we can hope for is a loan with us picking up a fair chunk of his wages.

I was talking about this with my nipper if Hughes carries on playing 3-5-2 ( or is it 5-3-2) with Romeu, Lemina and ( I assume) Armstrong in midfield that only leaves two positions to be shared between Austin, Gabbi, Redmond, Mo, Long, Sims and Gallagher.

really? 12m-16m is a "steal" for a 21 year old, attacking midfielder, who has a mere 71 professional appearances and 2 career goals to his name?

Not really the point I was making though. I'd agree Yoshida has improved I think he is a decent enough player to be a PL CB. He is, however, still a down grade on Lovern, Toby, VVD and Fonte (in his prime) hence the reason he was the back up player for so many seasons. The fact he is now our best CB speaks volumes about our recent recruitment.

I think he is just pointing out the hypocrisy of football fans..

Really? Yoshida is probably the best CB currently at the club. Which highlights the problem when a couple of seasons ago he was our backup CB now (with the current squad) he should be the first CB on the team sheet.

If that was Saints you'd be having a right meltdown we had people on here falling apart because Hughes didn't sign a new deal straight after the final whistle. Same with player signings we had people calling the club a mess because we hadn't signed anyone 10 days before the china tour.

I don't care as long as who sign is better than what we already have.

I'm not sure if our strikers weren't getting any service or failing to do anything with the opportunities they got. It certainly felt like Long and Tadic where guilty of spurning a lot of goal scoring chances last season.

What makes you think the saints players will be on his wavelength? Practically none of the first team have been on the same wavelength for about 18 months...

Decent player from what I've seen of him wouldn't mind him at Saints another midfielder though...

Got my free tickets easy as online almost got charged 8 quid in handling fees though until I switched to print at home on the options.

Shouldn't be to hard to find a replacement to contribute as much as Boufal has the last two seasons. It's not like Boufal was an integral part of the team like Tadic.

Hardly his fault the club overpaid for him and he wasn't good enough for the PL though. In the games I saw him play he always gave a 100% we've had far more talented players who didn't. I don't dislike Gudio. I'm more annoyed with the board for getting us in the whole mess last season of which he was just one part of the **** up.
