That is a rediculous thing to say.......We don't have ANY back up at all not even a £1m player - that is the point. No one in their right mind expects us to spend £10m on a player for God's sake. We have no one in the Ressies or what ever they are called iether these days which is just rank bad planning ...........

This squad is too thin and there is currently no competition for places - never the less NA needs to wake one or two up and drop them. Have to say Butterfield seems a very good player to me and should play more of a part. Martin is capable and with more games would have the chance to improve further - he is very mobile... And Holmes-if fit and with Chappers out should slot in. Why we still haven't got anyone in reserve for the Centre Forward Pos is beyond me and most other fans I think. On the Adkins front - surely he needs to learn by the numerous experiments he has indulged in recently and get back to the tactics he knows the players know best with round holes in round players or what ever it is !!! As someone else said we have been a liitle Pardewesque lately with odd players, positions and tactics - ummm on reflection, Pardew had no tactics but that's another story.....

For Christ sake Ricky Lambert played at Bristol and we lost TWO bloody nil !!!! The RL excuse will not wash and is as is proved - a complete red herring...

Sorry but is NA just becoming a little convinced by his own success to date - I am detecting just a shade of arrogance in his very strange repetition that was clearly not working Bristol - Why repeat the same pointless exercise again with the three defensive stooges in Midfield?????? If you don't have an alternative then you should have, with our resources and the time we have had to bolster a squad which is patently thin. De Ridder cannot play from the start - I think we all know that now....Why do we play with one up front against bottom of the league - Don't care who you are that just isn't logical.....Too much tinkering with tactics - we should replace players with like for like......I think NA has to face up to a few tactical and personnel clangers recently and particularly away.......Yes yes yes before the happy clappies start on we all know we are top of the league and NA is God but even God does some things which confuse us..............

Good points, however to mention Puncheon in the same breath is not a worthy point, unless of course you are aluding to Puncheons prowess at hitting the Video screen a record number of times when in clear shooting opportunities. Guly is DC compared to Puncheon.

It will not be just bench warming will it......Lambo will need a rest or he could injured too - we have no ready stand in for a game or three or for a quarter of a game even. Agree with this.......Have the police got this at the top their priority list right now??????? Are all rapes, violet robberies and burgleries solved in Southampton this month? This all very dandy but what happens when we have Lambert in particular needing a rest, getting suspended, or injured - connelly cannot play that role and Guly would probably find it more difficult up front with him - I think we do need someone who can step in for RL and of course provide competition for RL.
