Doncaster 1 - 0 Saints - Post Match Reaction

For Christ sake Ricky Lambert played at Bristol and we lost TWO bloody nil !!!! The RL excuse will not wash and is as is proved - a complete red herring... -
The missing of RL today is a complete red herring - he played at Bristol...........
-
Sorry but is NA just becoming a little convinced by his own success to date - I am detecting just a shade of arrogance in his very strange repetition that was clearly not working Bristol - Why repeat the same pointless exercise again with the three defensive stooges in Midfield?????? If you don't have an alternative then you should have, with our resources and the time we have had to bolster a squad which is patently thin. De Ridder cannot play from the start - I think we all know that now....Why do we play with one up front against bottom of the league - Don't care who you are that just isn't logical.....Too much tinkering with tactics - we should replace players with like for like......I think NA has to face up to a few tactical and personnel clangers recently and particularly away.......Yes yes yes before the happy clappies start on we all know we are top of the league and NA is God but even God does some things which confuse us..............

Good points, however to mention Puncheon in the same breath is not a worthy point, unless of course you are aluding to Puncheons prowess at hitting the Video screen a record number of times when in clear shooting opportunities. Guly is DC compared to Puncheon.

I'm more concerned about 'pouring' a drink than 'pour' away away form ! lol
-
They are thick up there, always making trouble -time the Football League got to grips with them, made them play to an empty stadium - except for away supporters...
-
Come on, it's not as simple as this...........We lost central midfield because we had no outlet and drive.........Although Guly is better up front we need a player out on right who can do the wide job and we bring on a central midfielder...........Three players in that area - all similar who don't stretch the opposition with Lung busting runs...........It's as simple as that......
-
This is a weakness in the squad as Steve cannot start - he's not good enough.......We are weak in numbers/quality in the squad this is the problem..
-
Lukas Jutkiewicz.... is he worth signing?

The target has moved don't you know..................Personally a bit worried that we are thin on the ground up front and though I have no complaints about this year - God who could have - I am concerned ......but hell - Nigel seems very cool so why should I worry lol ??? -

It will not be just bench warming will it......Lambo will need a rest or he could injured too - we have no ready stand in for a game or three or for a quarter of a game even. Anyway who's to say this Cov lad won't force his way in at some stage as even Lambo has a drop in form now and then. Typical how football fans hype players up to massive level, to God like status - Lambo is not God and will need a decent guy waiting for his moment - always sooner than you think........ -
Agree with this.......Have the police got this at the top their priority list right now??????? Are all rapes, violet robberies and burgleries solved in Southampton this month? These are the places that resources need to be targeted. On the other hand perhaps the government are right - Police are over manned and have too much time on their hands !!!!!!!! I've got nothing against gays either !! .....Before the over rightious politically correct start ! The police really do need to get a grip lol
-
Thinking of you today.............
-
This is correct. Dave Jones was not ever quite up to the job and he was 'sacked' in effect for that. Just not performing well enough...
-
Went in the Chapel for the Middleborough game - oh dear .........oh dear, oh dear - the very best of luck!
-
Lukas Jutkiewicz.... is he worth signing?
captainchris replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
This all very dandy but what happens when we have Lambert in particular needing a rest, getting suspended, or injured - connelly cannot play that role and Guly would probably find it more difficult up front with him - I think we do need someone who can step in for RL and of course provide competition for RL. -
what has happened to Jason Puncheon...?
captainchris replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
NO spells no. Only because he is not good enough for us - not his attidude only. -
Have to say Connely was indeed poor apart from the goal where all the work was done by a team mate though it was a tidy finish for sure......
-
Borough were actually quite decent but we were just untouchable......
-
Good post. Borough were one of the better teams we have seen down here this year so we did play very well to beat them so convincingly....
-
Did no one see how awesome AL was today also......Whilst Chappers played superbly well with a ton of energy AL was a class above again - no coincidence we were so good today with him back.....And Guly up front of course....
-
Sorry but he was far from 'great' against Watford............So far he has shown that he can't perform over about 30mins...
-
1.00PM No double tickets left except in the Chapel........
-
100% correct..........These guys should be told to stop masquerading as 'Southampton Football Club' organisations when intimating they represent 'Southampton Football Club' supporters when, in fact they do not represent a significant number. They probably represent less than a dozen these days. These guys are self opinionated fraudsters.....What is even more annoying, the Echo in particular think that their opinions are news worthy and credible which leaves me with complete disrespect for that paper.......too......You might as well interview the Pope about Saints - he's just as relevant!
-
This talks lots of sense - the only thing I would add is Guly and DC need a week or two's rest as they are off the pace mentally at the moment too....They both will not be right for Boro in any case and should be dropped.
-
SDR Played very well when he came on. However lots of hype about playing him from the start but when we did ala Watford he was very ordinary......However again he might be worth considering up front to start with Connely being so out of form......On the wing though - from the start - it doesn't seem to work. Three players badly need a few games out - Connely, De Prado (big time) and Cork to a lesser extent.....Ummmmm perhaps to a lesser degree Fonte after all Martin did play very well when he came on. I would play the out of form players against Palace and then rest them against Boro etc etc for a little while.....
