  1. exactly !!!!!!
  2. Sailing - racing dinghies.........Twice as tactical as football ....
  3. Come on Shef Weds too........Well capable of beating that overated, loud mouth, bad loosing tw t from the relegated chumps that wear orange....Sorry, who are they 'playing every week' now??? Ummmmm ..........Could be a case of 'Championship - you're having a laugh!
  4. Totally disagree with this view. we won't learn a thing playing the likes of Sweden's under 16 lumberjacks, Eastleigh and Farnborough - waste of time as has been proved in previous years.
  5. Have you ever been to Peterborough - even now !!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dell was Palace............oh just remembered Fratton Park ...........lol
  6. Incredible place at night.......The smell I remember most is of No6 fags which everyone seemed to smoke in late 60s. First game I think I saw there was a cup game against Oxford Utd must have been about 68 - 69. No one knew how many were in the ground in those days as kids were lifted over the turnstiles and a few bob given to the guy taking the money lol.......As the thread said seeing those flood lights as you approached the ground gave you a real buzz inside.......
  7. lol....................really no........
  8. 'Expectations' should be sky high if yours aren't go support a team with very low expectations. This chairman, manager and suporters are ambitious - join in or go and support Eastleigh is my advice. Winners have high expectations - loosers don't. This summer we should be looking to bring in a couple of very good players, they don't have to well known or expensive - just very good. We are not 'any club' in the championship. Your low ambition is not aligned with this club - catch up!
  9. Precisely and AL not being picked has really also given me even less reason to care..........................
  10. Totally disagree with this attention seeking comment
  11. 100% correct.....................
  12. Well said. The problem is it is never as simple as that. When he was out injured I think we actually picked up more points per game than when he was playing? having said that, in my opinion we played him too often and this definitely reduced his effectiveness..........We would be weaker without him but if we keep him we must not wear him out - pacey players only have so much juice in the tank.........
  13. Must be a typo - these two teams are not non league! Don't worry Eastleigh, Farnborough, Salisbury, Poole Town and not forgetting the Swedish under 16 lumberjacks second 11 will be on the fixture list in time for end of July.......lol
  14. I think you are saying AP had no idea............agree with this.
  15. This is total nonsense - even unbelievable - he was really very poor...
  16. Can I say exactly the same. Spent some fabulous times watching your headers from the chocolate boxes, the best header of a ball ever.........
  17. I really think Adam can only play what's in front of him. NA says he's the best player in the league (last year) and looking at some of the players in the PL most people who watch him week week out think he is playing in a league well below his ability so the league staus is rather irrelivent. As for proven in another league surely class can be judged on it's own by experts not by league status as guide.....Perhaps he didn't look sharp in training, I don't know but a fit on song AL would make that last 23 in my book with one arm tied behind his back..................... Still like others have said it's their loss and our gain, big shame for Adam though.....In the long run it's not good news for Saints really iether as if it's league staus which is important here it could turn his head..........................
  18. I see in the Echo Holloway is now blaming FIFA, the Pemier league management, UEFA, Ryan Giggs, Saints supporters, Bret Ormorod, The 'Coalition' and anyone else he can muster to blame (Slight jest!!!)- anyone but himself for the Blackpool relegation - What a bitter, silly, sad oaf. Personally, I much prefer the dignity and intellect of Nigel Adkins......Enough said...
  19. I don't think so - was hardly seen all game, as usual ! Soooooooooo looking forward to having their big mouth manager down here next year - yes we are 'having a laugh' Mr Holloway and you are actually not having one are you! Your smugness was always likely to come round and bite your a r s e and thankfuly it has. Oh and why don't you bring your first team with you next year - you're going to need em!
  20. This is correct 100%. We seem to have a lot of fans on here who are stuck in the past. Bridge has changed - watch him on the telly he really is quite a way off the pace these days and his marking has been pretty poor too......An old horse ready to be put out to stud..
  21. I haven't read the article so not hindered in my judgement of his contribution when he was here. He was slow and well past it and if anything hindered us. It would appear he has written a nice sentimental piece about us but really he was pretty dreadful whilst here...
  22. Coventry have a similar sized ground - no money and not many fans - similar sized? - Not any more!
  23. Just the good old Albion Band please .........:-)
  24. I back him as a player yes but definately not for glassing someone - if he did - for what ever the reason or provocation - if there was any. I would not wish as a Saints fan to offer him 'luck' or backing for committing a crime if that is what he has done. I am not offering 'backing' to cheer him up over this either. My support for Saints does not extend to these conditions - justice must take it's course..............
