  1. Very sad news. 10 years ago he did so much to keep Saints alive. A true hero.
  2. No he didn't !!! His self imposed exile from the England team between 1974 and 1977 meant that Boycott missed Lillee and Thompson in 1975 and the West Indian quicks of 1976. It was left to men on their 40s like Brian Close to face the likes of Holding and Roberts. Boycott wimped out. I think it was Tony Grieg who summed it up as "where Geoffrey Boycott is , the fast bowlers arent".
  3. Kane doesn't have a good record at St Mary's win penalties !!! I blame that and the commentator's curse for last night's miss. It was inevitable after they had bigged up his penalty taking ability.
  4. So do you think that Johnson is telling the truth when he announces that he would get Brexit over and done with if we left on October 31st or do you think he is telling lies to appeal to the perceived Brexit weary voters?
  5. Calm down . Calm down. Take 10 minutes out and read that article from Ivan Rogers. It is in the Spectator which even you must agree is hardly a pinko rag. The point is that if we left the EU on 31 October , there will still be a need to negotiate a trade deal with our largest trade partners in the EU. It is completely false to think that leaving on 31 October would mean that Brexit would be over and done with.
  6. I was about to post exactly the same comment. I wish that more people would understand this. Ivan Rogers's excellent piece makes it quite clear that trade talks with the EU have ages to run and leaving without a deal would prolong them even more.
  7. I wonder if the Government could use this post in a campaign against the perils of excessive late night drinking.
  8. Johnson takes lying to a new level. He was a journalist before entering the Commons and was sacked from the Times for making things up. As a journalist with the Telegraph he sailed close to the wind for his "ineffable duplicity" (quote from the owners of the Telegraph). After entering the Commons he was sacked by Tory leader Michael Howard for ... guess what ... lying. I have little trust in many politicians but Boris would win a good medal in any Lying Olympics.
  9. It's those ******s from the People's Front of Judea who are hated by the Judean People's Front. Once the Romans are overturned ......
  10. The more posts that Duckie makes , the more you realise that the Conservatives are becoming a narrow sect rather than a main stream political party. The British version of the "People's front of Judea." Letwin and Major are now the latest pinko infiltrators from the " Judean People's Front" who need to be removed from the Brotherhood.
  11. I think you are correct. Johnson and Cummings know how to win elections and people seem to vote for lying incompents. I just hope that the GE does not happen for a good few weeks so that when it does happen more people will see the lying buffer for what he is.
  12. Clearly Rudd has woken up and developed a backbone. Good for her This government is such a mess.
  13. Yes.... and the EU consider his firm to sell poisonous chemicals. So he hates the EU.
  14. That sums him up. He is a" big girl's blouse" telling people that he is putting them on ignore. As if they really care. You can see why any decent university rejected him despite the school he came from and why he studied at Pompey Poly.
  15. I certainly hope so but the longer this goes on the more that voters can see that the man is a babbling liar. He does however have the knack of winning elections.... underestimate him at your peril.

  17. If Johnson lost his seat but was still PM a backbencher in a safe Tory seat would be encouraged to stand down and cause a by election. The backbencher would be rewarded with a knighthood and other perks and Johnson would be the Tory candidate. It would take a few weeks to organise. The Tory electorate in the chosen constituency may not take too kindly to be treated this way but there would be enough voters there to ensure that the PM could stay in the House of Commons.
  18. Now sold
  19. If a no deal Brexit causes a food shortage at least Iain Duncan Smith won't go hungry.
  20. Who is the most famous Pompey Poly graduate? Is he/she as thick as Guided Missile??
  21. I agree. The other benefit from a longer delay is that the longer the delay, the more chance the public have to learn about the shambles of this government. Cracks are already beginning to appear in the Cabinet as the "vegetables" object to Dom and Dommer. These cracks are not going to get any smaller with time. Above all there will be more PMQ's and the chance to see Johnson's bluster and obfuscation in the Commons. His performance is quite cringeworthy. It certainly is amazing to see Corbyn look statesmanlike in comparison!!
  22. I have tried to message you but apparently your account cannot accept private messages. You can hopefully send me one if you go to Private Messages on the top left hand side of the forum banner.
  23. I have 2 spare tickets for next Tuesday's international. PM me if interested.
  24. Johnson's record is played 3, lost 3. Not what most people would call "a blinder." Clearly Pompey Poly graduates do see things differently from most people.
  25. .... you must be wrong. GM told us that Johnson was playing a blinder. Pompey Poly graduates are always correct.
