  1. A couple of points: He has improved our defence considerably but Salisu is a long way from being the world classs defender some people think. Whilst not exonerating McCarthy , Salisu could have been much tighter on Pukki for the first goal. His distribution is also rather erratic. Against Villa he twice needlessly put McCarthy under pressure by passing short and again today he seemed to be the weak link when the defence was passing amongst themselves. When was the last time that we conceded from a corner? I may be wrong, but I thought it was some time ago.
  2. He was being employed by them at a cost of £250k pa to write a weekly column after he resigned as Foreign Secretary. Yes £5k a column!! His columns only stopped when he became PM. I think I would have preferred to have read a column written by Rallyboy!
  3. It wouldn't surprise me if Johnson steps down from office in the next few months before more damage is done to "Brand Boris. " His money problems are well documented. These could be solved however once his days at No 10 are over by following the likes of Blair and Cameron onto the lecture circuit . He would also have his "journalism" to fall back on. Who. on the otherhand would want to listen to a PM widely regarded as an incompetent fool? Would the Telegraph want him to write for them at £250k a year if he is a busted flush? if he quits now he still has his supporters amongst the Tory faithful. If he hangs on too long even the Tory blue rinse brigade will not be interested in what he has to say.
  4. My biggest musical regret comes from the early '70's. David Bowie was doing his Ziggy Stardust tour. I can remember agreeing with my pals that as we had too much homework that night we wouldn't bother going to see him. 😩 On the other hand I did gain enormous streetcred with junior Tame when he started to watch the DVD of Queen at Wembley and I was able to say that I was at that concert.
  5. Anyone know who was upfront for us in the semi final against Leicester?
  6. If it had been given a higher profile, Boris would have mumbled some bollocks and it would have been dismissed as "Project Fear".
  7. That is hilarious. I have been to Portsmouth and 7 of the other 9 listed cities. I can confidently statr that Portsmouth is completely unlike the other cities.
  8. At times there aint anything as strange as Saintsweb. Ralph knockers are also absent. I wonder why.
  9. The death of Patterson's wife was undoubtedly tragic and he deserves sympathy for that. However as Environment minister he was a disaster. His refusal to ban neo nicitoids in farming (thank God an EU directive overruled him) and his enthusiastic support for the badger cull indicate that whenever the NFU told him to jump, he asked "how high?" As one of the leading Euro "Spartans" he is one of those responsible for the mess that Brexit has become. His lobbying activities just stink. The House of Commons will be a better place without him. .
  10. So a Pompey fan who hates Saints with a passion comes out with a couple of anti Saints "exclusives" . Hmmmm. Highly believable... not. I might give TCWTB a ring and see if he has any news about Saints.
  11. There is only one man who can save Newcastle from their current plight. Come on down Big Sam Allardyce. Wouldn't it be funny .... all that money, the choice of anyone in the world and they end up with Big Sam. 😊😆
  12. Did you honestly expect a different reaction from him?
  13. Ah yes. Cameron Norrie - the new Brit. He's British due to his parents coming from the UK. He has been brought up and learnt his tennis in South Africa and lives in New Zealand. Emma Raducanu is British because she was brought up and learnt her tennis over here. Her parents are Rumanian and Chinese. We will claim them all.
  14. Why nobody should post after having too much to drink. 😀
  15. 😆🤣😂 The Daily Express being quoted to prove "it ain't anything to do with Brexit guv." Next you will be quoting TCWTB to prove that Portsmouth are the best team on the south coast.
  16. Of course he deserves credit. A bloody great performance. Pity it ended as it did but doubtless the "Ralph noddy" brigade will find something to kick off about.

    Coronavirus

A dangerous route to go down. Lets refuse treatment for the unvaccinated ... and people who are fat.... ... and people who smoke.... ... and anyone who drinks.... etc etc.
  18. That picture never fails to supply endless entertainment. If we went down this route I wonder which cuddly toys the Saints Brass would choose to adorn their stand. Would they audition for a semi naked dancer? Would they insist on gormless faces like TCWTB and his 2 mates to his left?

    Coronavirus

I am not sure that many people are calling for lockdowns. If they are, they are going over the top. However the increase in cases is alarming and deaths are also rising. What exactly is wrong with now implementing masks , passport vaccines and other elements of " Plan B" ? There is a trend of us being late in implementing Covid measures. We were too late to lock down in March last year. We were too late in implementing controls last autumn. It looks as if we are going to be too late again.

    Coronavirus

Yeah. I mean daily covid cases now average 45,000 over 7 days. More people died today than any other day in the last 7 months but it is all just scare mongering.
  21. Anyone else remembering when they last lost 4 nil at home???
  22. That is interesting. I did think that there was a fair amount of speculation in some of the book's statements- eg how on earth did the author know how Corbyn and Mcdonnell voted in the referendum? Nevertheless the accusations of intimidatory behaviour and abuse of other party members ring true. Webbe's conviction is another example of this approach.
  23. Anyone who has read Tom Bower's biography of Jeremy Corbyn would recognise Webbe's behaviour as being par for the course. It comes as no surprise that she is described as being "a close ally of Jeremy Corbyn". Thank God that he never became Prime Minister.
  24. Gammon at its finest. A bit of a coincidence that he was also a leading Brexiteer.
  25. I wonder if Brexiteers are still so gullible as to believe the Brexit crap.
