  1. LOL! Dont be so touchy! All the pictures are a bit crap! Banter, that's all.
  2. Is this thread the 'worst pictures taken during the match' thread? If so... some of those are stunningly funny!
  3. Parachute payments still intact for a couple of seasons.
  4. 3-1 eh? Normal service resumed!
  5. I supose we shouldnt have any sour grapes and all that but... get lost Wotte.
  6. Look, we are mid table... less Lowe's administration penalty... but that's with a brand new team. It's OK we're growing. But, Play Offs were always a bonus not a certainty. Survival in League 1 with the kids before Pardew and Liebherr was going to be impossible. Enjoy mid-table this season. Next season only promotion will be an option for this new side.
  7. Please Alan... get rid of the last of Lowe's legacy... remove the final kid: Lloyd James.
  8. Agreed. We are wasting possession by hoofing and clearing up the pitch...unless Antonio can be put in a position to chase a hoof in the centre of the midfield from time to time it's pointless. Frustratingly CCC/League 1. PASS IT TO FEET AND SPEED UP YOUR MOVEMENT.
  9. Recovering from flu.
  10. James.. last of the Lowe youth experiment? Time to finish off the cull of the nippas IMHO and buy the rest of the new team of men. Davis is easily a League 1/CCC keeper though. Come on he had a bad day.
  11. Agreed. I would suggest a far cry from all managers comments since WGS to be honest. A refreshing change on the path upwards. We got our club back (finally Mr Wilde!).
  12. So he's a quality player who lacks discipline OFF the pitch? Sign him up and have Pards impose discipline. Sounds a good aquisition to me.
  13. Not France surely Maradona v England in the World Cup. Can't really think of a Saints one in recent times... we've lacked the spine to do such competitive things until Pardew's rebuild.
  14. In sum, 'kids' out - men in. I like this new era!
  15. Not having a go at you, thought your post was a fair one. More a comment in general. I think Burley had too bad a press on here frankly. Despite his issues he was still arguably one of the more successful of the ****e managers we're had since WGS! (Pardew excepted!)
  16. Indeed, have to agree there - it is certainly a trait. Mind you, under Burley we saw nothing like the alienation of decent players that occurred upon Lowe's return with the cloggies.
  17. Poor chap, definitely one to discuss on this forum. Whether he intended to buy Saints or not, for a short period he provided some badly needed hope and optimism in dark dark days.
  18. Burley is NOT responsible for League 1 football, what utter nonsense, that honour lies firmly with Lowe, x2 clueless cloggies and inexperienced youth players. I do believe the stats show Burley to have actually been one of the more successful Saints managers in recent years. Those who think Burley is to blame for League 1 are simply daft. 3 wins in 14 games is a crap return for Scotland, he has also alienated some playeers who the sweaty socks couldve done with. No surprises he has gone.
  19. Premiership clubs will be knocking on Reading's door methinks. I hope we can keep him and hone him some more though. Brighton were clearly scarred of him and marked him out of the game in the 1st half. Poyet obviously recognised the threat and it was a shame we didnt switch him over to the left or mix it up more, it was like a constant train crash on the right flank until half time. If you were in the Kingsland you probably needed a set of binos to see any of the game!
  20. lol! I sort of concur with that too!
  21. Agreed. Apart from 2-3 decent crosses James was particularly poor and Harding seemed to forget which team he was playing for given the passes intercepted.
  22. Too co(ky at the start, over confidence crept in for the first time in a while. But we could have easily won that game 4-3 as lost it. The worst bit about this defeat is the fact my Brighton supporting neighbour has, early this very morning, put his shirt on the large stone lion that sits at the entrance to my front garden! Very funny to be fair! Always said Gus Poyet was the engine behind Wise's success.
  23. Job for you Duncan?
  24. I hope we sign Antonio... class player at this level... class.
  25. Can't get that to work... keeps going Russian on me!
