MLT on SSN confirmation of Consortium involvment
SaintRobbie replied to Griffo's topic in The Saints
Woggy made a stand when Lowe returned. I'd love it if he had his job offered back to him. -
Oh happy days...
-
Ince. or... any manager except Wotte.

post match interviews re MLT takeover/Kelvin/Surman

Agreed - especially if he is there in a promotional role and we employ a CEO and Manager worth his salt as a result. Feel good factor will bring success... the alternative may be a Lowe influenced takeover... now which has more chance of success and support? -

WOOOOOAAAHHH! BWP will be OK in League 1. I think he can stay IMHO. -
Agreed. Only other player who has made me smile this season.

Glad the players are even siding with the MLT rather than Lowelife consortium! Bring it on! -
How can you say that when he has only relegated 2 teams and left every other appointment hes had under dubious circumstances?

Schneiderlin - Saints Biggest Waste of Cash Ever?
SaintRobbie replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
I think he may have potential... just needs a new manager to kick his arse. -
OK... who we getting then?
-
Keep Wotte? Now let me think about this for a second... LOL! LOL! LOL! ...nah.

You really are out of touch for a holocaust denier. I would take someone like Gus Poyet as he understands the British leagues and teams but apart from that I know of no other jonny-foreigner who could do the job. Wotte is top of that pile now as a PROVEN failure.

Perhaps. Our perhaps not. Methinks there is much more to play for than just a return financially. I think ALL businessmen are interested in MPs opinions, but there are also others who have influence. -
Well you can think that but thousands more of us dont 19. Sorry but regardless of anything else Lawrie Mac and Crouch didnt appoint Wotte and JP and have a club policy INSISTING on playing youth whilst paying and sidelining experience. THAT is incompetence. THAT is the reason we are in League 1 heading for League 2.

Mark Wotte... couldnt run a bath or command a view.

Nick, influence is not illegal where objective decisions are being made. It is decision-making based on a holistic view. There are more intangibles in society old friend than just black and white legal decisions. The law serves society. MPs should state our case to Fry... but only if necessary. The decision being made here directly influences the morale of the people of Southampton in potentially difficult times. That has political connertations. -
Agreed set Lowe an example! Listen to the missus!

I think he's on for the Toon in the CCC to be honest... bit of a Saints dream team though if he was to come with Dowie. -

Hypo - not quite. Life is a little more complicated at the higher echelons of power old friend. Where theres an intent and will there is a way... Local pressure can assist, but regardless this bid sounds pretty impressive if true. If not - lets hope other consortiums merge with it - afterall with MLT you are almost guaranteed success. With Lowe's mates... errrr... failure looms through lack of confidence from the start. Edit: Also Hypo, something tells me that those in the Barclays powers that be pulled the rug from Lowe for more than just financial reasons when they ousted him. There are other considerations for leaders in society - the main one being the morale of one of the UK's major cities in difficult economic times. So, if you're an MP you need to be well engaged in this issue. -

Might be in terms of The Spirit of Southampton. I guess he'd rather be regarded as someone continuing Ted's quest for success though. In terms of being a manager or decision-making chairman I am sure he'd be wise enough to employ a good CEO and manager. Statue of MLT with 'LOYALTY' on the plinth by the players entrance may come off afterall. -
Has someone actually informed the police Lowe is going to attend and the impact that may have on increasing costs of crowd security? Forest are not doing themselves any favours.

Agreed. Mark Fry needs to be put under pressure from local media, local MPs and Councillors to accept a deal in the best interests for the City. Frankly any bid accepted that is associated with Lowe - even indirectly - will spell disaster for the Club due to the lack of confidence that will follow.
