Barclays and Aviva: Something we can all agree with Rupert Lowe on
SaintRobbie replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Please Ponty... spare us this Barclays rob old people fred! BTW, LLoyds have done a similar thing too to a friend of mine. -
Neat summing up. Still would prefer the more ambitious appointment of Paul Ince if he were about. But I'd embrace any Brit manager who understood the leagues... just get Wotte out.
-
Not one piece of bad news there... bye Drew.
-
There will be and it will be under new ownership without any Lowe implications. It'll all happen soon.
-
I think the damage was done well before Arry mate. Fair play I say to him. Thanks Harry Redknapp, those comments can only do some good for Saints and certainly no harm.

If Harry Redknapp Returns, Will You Boycott?

I would be down like a shot. Real manager again at last! But, it's almost as daft as thinking Lowe will come back. -

Does this really have ANYTHING to do with Southampton FC? No. Doesnt even make a point about the banks with regards to financing Southampton Leisure Holdings plc (dead). Sorry, but ... Close it mods! -
Nicer to have 32000 in the stadium rather than 12000 dont you think?
-
No happily married. I think you're right... but assuming those on here are panicking that Lowe may be attending the game and have a hand in the takeover deal (I doubt it by the way!) it may make us all feel a little better that we're letting Mr Fry know how much we love the old chairman.

Lowe & Richards in board room on Sunday at Forest....Confirmed by Club

Banners required for Saturday. dUCK OFF LOWE needs to make an appearance ... just in case -
Agreed. No one would be that stupid. Well said.
-
May be worth expressing afew opinions on Mr Lowe during this game. I suggest a hearty collection of banners to relay the fans intent and opinion of Mr Lowe's actions to date.
-
Agreed. Its all to do with customer... sorry we're 'fans' again now I forgot ... confidence and optimism. With Lowe associated IN ANY CAPACITY confidence would be near zero amongst the fans and I predict poor gates and the creation of a League 1/2 side within 18 months struggling to promote... I've been right so far in my predictions on Lowe issues so feel pretty confident I can read the signs on this one again. But, Lowe isnt going to return. He's finished. Stop worrying everyone.
-
If Wilde and/or Lowe return in whatever capacity I will not set foot in SMS again. Had enough of losers. ... but they wont.
-
Boycotting. (but not worried... he's not going to return in any postition. Man's finished)
-
I hope you washed your hands before typing that.

He isnt a better manager. He has just had the restricctions of a club youth policy lifted from his selection criteria. Wotte is actually a proven failure - now relegating his second club. JP actually promoted the Dutch club he relegated so... in terms of rules and pressure this season and track record JP is actually a better manager.... and we know how good he was.

I want to see 2-3 kids ( mainly competing for a bench place) being eased into a team of men Saf. A new manager may help bring them back on again... but frankly they can go back to the reserves on the whole. Gillett, DMG (if he grows up) and Size are the only ones I would consider for a starting line up... if we have the money to buy new players. Apart from that our kids are League 2 standard. -

Thats a fair point, but DMG sulked. He needs to grow up fast Nick. I think all this internal bigging him up all year has made him precious. We need a hard manager to make some of these kids grow up next season or we need to sell them. -

Disagree wholeheartedly. Our youth are simply not good enough on the whole - for League 1 let alone the CCC. But, our gross mismanagement of the senior players throughout the season has certainly reduced their motivation I will give you that. -

Gillett was very good today. He reminds me of a young WGS. Hard little chap too! I am anti-kids in Saints shirts but he is definitely one who can stay! DMG needs to grow up - as soon as he started sulking after he missed the penalty I knew we were doomed. Smith is 70% of a player, does some good things then ALWAYS screws up his last contribution. Can't wait to clear some of these kids out and get back to having a real club again. Mind you... Wotton is League 2 standard. -
Well if the ref reports it we will have to answer their charges.
-
I think people would stay away. He'd actually cost us money.

I agree. Optimistic. No Lowe and the return of Southampton FC from the ashes of the plc that's had its hands firmly around the neck of this Club for too long. We may now have bottomed out at last. But, we need to clear out the kids and the final Dutch marvel or we're heading for League 2.
