Phew! Thank goodness for that... I was getting worried given our home form we'd lose.
-
He hasnt said that apparently - ask Torres.

Death by chocolate.

oops lol Do you think?

Do you know what I think the future is on current plans - post-administration, honestly? This:

I assume the exclusive article is going to say , 'Crouch' ? If so, the Club are really trying to fight back against the fanbase. But let's see what he has to say...!

Protest stage 2: February 21st, meeting at bargate again.

Are you a 'real' fan Torres? I tell you why I ask. Because I know you are. I know that those on the protest are too. I know that they want to vent their frustration in a peaceful but vocal way. I know that almost all of them will then scream their heads off afterwards when Sagga scores the winner and hope for survival for another week as a result. I know that they are real fans. I will not let some puppet of Lowe dictate to me who is a real fan and who isnt. I wont let this traveller dictate to me whether I am a real fan or not. It's utterly rediculous. We need all fans not just the fantastic diehards. We need 32000 every week to now stand a chance... Will we see these fans with Lowe and Wotte? Really? NO. So we are all real fans. Just that some (who I believe are representing the vast majoirty) who are walking tomorrow to tell the world they are real fans. That's their right, and I am sure they will feel better for playing their part in the eventual removal of Lowe. -
Apathy is why this club will die. Apathy by accepting Lowe's continued leadership down, apathy at not being constructive and getting out there to find a buyer. I wish we had a leader.

http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4140876.Wotte_calls_on_support_of__true__Saints_fans/ This man says you are not a true fan of Southampton FC if you attend the protest tomorrow. Giving up your free time, making a sacrifice to make a change for the better at Southampton FC - a change that may ultimately lead to the survival of Southampton FC (not just in League 1 but in its very existance) is not a task to be taken on by anyone who is not a true fan of Southampton FC. I thoroughly applaud the organisers of this protest for their maturity, appeal for calm in difficult times and their motives. This man and his boss want to divide us into camp followers and fans who want change. There is no such thing. SFC fanbase has never been so unified as it is now. WOTTE / LOWE OUT is the message. None of us are camp followers - support the team tomorrow until there is no hope - but then protest hard. IF YOU WERE WONDERING WHETHER TO SUPPORT THE PROTEST TOMORROW OR NOT LOOK INTO WOTTE'S EYES AND MAKE YOUR DECISION. WE ARE ALL THE FANS OF SOUTHAMPTON FC AND HAVE BEEN ALL OUR LIVES AND WITH WOTTE/LOWE OUT SO MAY OUR CHILDREN. -
I dont think that's true and again Nick you seem to roll over and except our fate under Lowe too easily. It will not be a draw. The fans untimately WILL drive Lowe out (again) and Wotte will go. I think that comments like Wotte's in the Echo merely rouse the fan base even more. I suspect people who were not going to march tomorrow will now. I expected a smaller turnout tomorrow, but I think we'll see afew more as a result of his attempts to split the fans into fans and not fans. Would be an interesting poll wouldnt it? As a result of Wotte's comments about the fans will you: a. Attend the protest (I was anyway) b. Now attend the protest (I was undecided/feeling a bit lazy/prefering another pint before the game instead ) c. Will conform and go and support the team, indeed hail abuse at the protestors instead.

Yes.... so now Wotte/Lowe are actually now dividing the fans into those who support and those who dont. Just brilliant isn't it? We have the most united fan base in years who see the problem - Lowe and Wotte - and they now attempt to divide them into fans who come and those who dont without examining why they dont. I think this is pretty much a final nail in the coffin for Wotte if I'm being honest. Declaring war is one thing but attempting to divide your population and support based is not a great start for any campaign footing. Just a joke now. Message to all Saints fans has to be - go and support during games until they're lost, but then protest at and inside every game to show this bloody fool we mean business. Its not a silent majority Wotte... its a VAST MAJORITY who want your head and Lowe's.

If that is true - personally I think it is certainly a possibility - when are we all going to get off our arses and find a buyer rather than rolling over for Rupert's inevitable final act? Isnt it about time we at least tried to sell this club. Because I see no evidence yet, from fans 'leaders', fans, old players, board members etc etc. WE NEED TO GET OUT THERE AND GET ON EVERY MEDIA OUTLET TO SELL THIS CLUB. Rolling over and dieing is not an option. -

Agree 100% with that Duncan. Good luck to everyone on Saturday. If there were 6 people and a dog on it they'd be reflecting the views of almost every Saints fan who isnt marching for reasons various. -
Ve arsh at vor! ......(apparently)
-
I thought both jokes were quite funny to be honest... don't tell Dalek the one about Hoddle though LOL !! shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
-
Yes somewhat ironic given their recent history. Wotte's team defence is pretty Dutch though, certainly unable to sustain an invasion without giving up.
-
My thoughts exactly ... sadly
-
Lets not go into administration. Lets actively get off our arses and find a buyer.
-
Ironically, I think more fans will attend than normal as they want to protest during the game.

1. Failed to properly manage and support JP; 2. Deliberately sidelined key players who would have kept us up due to an 'unsustainable player wage bill' to develop but will ultimately cost the club more in the long term in League 1/2; 3. Will further lose key staff from the Academy due to relegation; 4. Will sell key Academy players to cover structural financial deficits upon relegation; 5. Dropped to the lowest League position for many (49) years; 6. Seen supporter gates drop more than dramatically; 7. Will cash in future income streams from player sales i.e. Rasiak, Skacel, John, Euell, Surman etc ; 8. Failed to communicate with supporters by hiding away during critical times; 9. Mismanaged the Dyer loan situation, which will result in his sale for peanuts; AND...is likely to relegate the club, lead it into administration and probably further relegate it into League 2 after player sales in the summer. FAILED ON ALL COUNTS. Crouch wasnt great but he makes Lowe and Wilde look like total amateurs.
