Not impressed with Wotte "Fans are very easy with their judgement"
SaintRobbie replied to St. Jason's topic in The Saints
I suppose it was because he was a risk - highly respected and promising - but unproven. I bet Leon Crouch wishes he had too now though. -

I have heard it all now. We didnt go because of the snow? LOL. This bloke is on the same Dutch smokey stuff as JP. Delusional. -
Then tell me this Steve... Why didnt our Club management put them on short term loans just in case the Totally Crap Football experiment failed? Answer: INEPTITUDE.

Saints suffering but is there an alternative to Lowe

And someone at the Club has him by the short and curlies over something. -

I think its a good summary, especially this bit, - but allow me to highlight a number of important bits & fill in the blanks for the author... Protest can lead to positive change at a football club, as it did at the club I support, fellow south coasters Brighton. But it can be a long and arduous road. And during the struggle to remove Bill Archer and his cronies from Brighton, the fans backed a team that, under Steve Gritt, overturned an 11-point deficit to escape relegation from the Football League on the final day of the season. Relegation may be starting to look inevitable for Southampton, but nothing is done until it is mathematically confirmed. Another factor to consider is who could replace Lowe and Wilde? It's all very well raging for something to be torn down, but is there a constructive alternative? At Brighton we had **** Knight, who ironically is now a target of some frustrated Albion fans. Is there anyone ready to step in and save Southampton? TEMPORARILY IN ORDER TO AVOID RELEGATION (IF ITS NOT TOO LATE NOW) : LEON CROUCH -
Why would he want to come to Saints instead of staying in the Premiership with Wolves? Sacking Mick McCarthy I could understand if they promote but not carrying on with a Premier League team? Nah... dont see it to be honest.

...because Lowe's plan was flawed. Most of us knew it and even got put on global ignore lists for continually telling everyone it was flawed I suppose he has to be seen to back the board, but the timing - having just recieved warnings from enough of us on this forum that supporting a hated board and being seen as Lowe's poodle was not a good idea for a manager - is utterly stupid. Wotte - it's bad enough having you here as manager as it is, based on your crap performance so far, but its even worse to have you pandering to the fools who provide direction to the club. All it does is undermine your credibility with the fans still further. You are VERY VERY foolish Mr Wotte. Now leave.

Applaud. He probably kept us above Charlton. And I dont blame him for leaving this badly managed Club.
-
I wouldnt spend £200 on a membership if Lowe was connected to the idea, and the problem is nor would most people... its about TRUST you see - and in Lowe there is none. So you can't separate Lowe from the £200 membership... if Lowe was gone... maybe.

Up until 2 years ago we were paying significant dividends to shareholders. The accounts are there for all to see...just that they are somewhat played down for some strange reason.

With Wotte? I'm going for 9 Points total. With new manager - if he arrives in next fortnight? 15-17 Points.

Kelvin is a confidence player. Under JP he gained confidence - possibly due to the distraction of leadership through captaincy of the team - i.e. he had other responsibilities but to be constantly concerned over his own performance. Frankly, if he was to read this thread it would damage his confidence further I suggest. He is a CCC level keeper - midtable team IMHO. Shot stopper whose limitation has been his ability to command his defence (compared to Miller who was arguably the opposite but I suspect stats will show ultimately was more successful). So what? ... or should I say So Wotte? Kelvin's performance is slipping under your leadership - so where do you go from here? Strengthen at the back? Skacel perhaps? OR do we put it down to your own lack of leadership and give Kelvin a chance under a new manager who may improve his confidence. Selling is not an option.

I'll run on to the pitch and give our British manager a hug.

I'd rather have Lowe on the touch line. We'd get the same decisions and save afew quid in the process.

We have a winner!

Controversial post alert - ignore if you like Lowe
SaintRobbie replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
One day Duncan you'll write another book about this. -
LOL but he didnt and is unlikely to. Wotte... LEAVE and give us a chance of staying up.
-
oh dear now you've done it.
-
LOL... frying pan and fire and all that!
-
What like Rupert Lowe's answer? I just want crap managers sacked. Always been behind managerial consistency and giving people a chance... but when its so obvious that they are really as bad as their results show... they HAVE to go.
-
Mandaric every time. To be honest I was saying this even when I actually (misguidedly) supported Lowe as Chairman the year before relegation!
-
Its not. It really is not. If Crouch took over with an English manager we might stay up. MIGHT. But if Crouch failed I wouldnt blame him for it and at least we'd have a decent manager who knew more about League 1 than the current muppet.
-
Wotte. You know this is going to fail. Please resign now and leave this Club for good whilst you still have some professional pride. Face it, you're too precious to ruin your reputation and this Club is too precious to us to see you and your master Rupert ruin it too. Thank you.
-
Yes. He's going to buy the club for a snip upon administration. It has to have been his plan all along - that or he really is that bad as a chairman.

Wotte Verdict - I Have To Give Credit For The 2nd Half Performance
SaintRobbie replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
I was praying for the so-called Baird - DMG swap to be honest.
