At current prices in this window £20m is nothing. He's worth £30m at least and to Monaco probably £40m
-
What was the score?
-
Che? He's more likely to be on the bench..Bednarek for me. Loads of experience, good organiser and in best position for a captain
-
Yes, the manager is the Club's frontman, spokesman and representative. We've had some who were good at it--Lawrie Mac and Koeman best I can think of. Mad Nat the worst. Lets hope this guy gives us and the football world in general, the feel good factor. it helps
-
Tella is worth 30k at today's prices. He puts the ball in the net---priceless. We need him
-
Big Paul could do well in Championship. After the slow slow possession build up a battering ram to wake us up could be just what we need
-
Possession football doesn't require the energy of the high press style, but it does require a smart finisher rather than a hard worker. I don't know who that is===someone like Billy Sharpe or Jermaine Defoe used to be. Long memories may recall Ted McDougall or George O'Brien, did nothing except put the ball in the net-frequently.

ABK is injury prone, how often was he match fit? Have to admit Bednarek did a better job than I ever expected.
-
We'll put that right by Christmas
-
Moi was mismanaged--not the only one--and his skills never used. He succeeded everywhere else and he may succeed again but we did to him what we did to Tella and Redmond, made them fit into a system which destroyed natural ability. Good luck to him

I pay to watch because its my team and I've been doing that since the war, whatever the style. We've had solid fighters with Ted Bates, we've had exciting showmen with Lawrie Mc we've had high hopes with Poch and Koeman and we've had the most drear and turgid days recently. We pay up because its our team, all we want is a team to be proud of.
-
It's the philosophy of how we play that worries me. The proposed 'keepball' or possession football sounds even more boring than the tedious stuff of recent seasons. One thing is for sure, that style requires a deadly fininsher at the end of the slow build.

Nothing to say Burnley will not stay up and certainly nothing to say we will go up. It's a tough league and at the moment we are not in the mindset for it. The manager delay isn't a good sign either.
-
Its been like that ever since Cortese didn't recognise him as the self-appointed Club historian. Then when Cortese left and took the good times with him perhaps FF realised his mistake

Romeo Lavia - Official: Signs for Not Liverpool
Dellman replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
He will. Poch knows how to use and improve young players, he will move on the 'oldies' or leave them on the bench -
He deserves better supporters, he deserves better Club but i hope stays

I want to back the manager, the team and everyone else to do with the Club and that's what i've been doing since I began at the end of the war years, aged 8. But I hoped that after the Nathan Jones fiasco the next manager would have some reputation to encourage fans and be a significant presence in the dressing room for the players. I did not expect him to be from a Club even lower than Luton. I would have thought once bitten the Directors would have been twice shy. Oh dear, I hope its not 'here we go again'

you are not the only one Yes, Come on Cherries
-
yep, I really hope Theo stays he is the sort of experienced professional and disciplined trainer that is a model for the reshaping we need.
-
Don't agree. Bunch of frustrated professionals needing to be managed and coached by competent and experienced professionals, not too much to ask

How many times has Mowbray been sacked so far and how many promotions has he won. Those are the stats interest me
-
Excuse ignorance but why is Cooper so popular? I know he's managing Forest in the Premier and they are in a dodgy mess, so what else has he done?
-
yes, I also want him back but will lour management know how to get the best out of him? We've talented players already whose ability remained hidden on match days. It would be good if he brought Kompany with him
-
People want a big name, yes he's a big name as a player but he's been a big flop as a manager.

I would be very happy with Graham Potter, old or new version.
