  1. A combination of Tottenhams best half and a distinctly average one by our recent performances BUT we are still in the race at half time so hopefully we can come out in the 2nd half and play better as they will certainly not keep up the pace that they played the first half at for sure
  2. I think that our transfer dealings (both ins & outs) in the close season will tell us as fans what the ambitions of Cortese and co will be for 2013/14 My view is that Poch will have a decent sized war chest to have a real go at bringing us success in the form of a cup and a position in the league that we could of only dreamed of 3/4 years ago.
  3. deal done according to Solent on Twitter
  4. It seems that Fenerbahce were sniffing around him for 5m in July according to the one and only "Alan Nixon"?? and now my "friend" Karl has responded to my question of where he heard of this and he "claims" from a Everton fanzone writer that both us and Fenerbahce have had offers accepted and now it's down to the player BUT if this "friend" of mine is the original Rocket Swanie or whatever his name is then it probably carries very little substance?
  5. Some lad by the name of Karl Swanborough, no apparent links to the press etc but is claiming fee has been agreed and we are currently in talks??? says that Heitinga is in the last year of his contract. Nothing concrete to back it up but certainly not one that has been mentioned before I believe?
  6. Getting back the the thread, someone is saying on twitter that they have been told that we have agreed a fee of 5.2m for Evertons Johnny Heitinga???? CHDAJFU??
  7. I think that a lot of block 4 would of moved to block 3 as i did. I sat right on the end of block 4 and moved across an aisle and saved £50 for me & £45 for the nipper and the view remains the same. I think that you'll also find that what remained of the original Itchen North rowdy bunch would of moved too for that closer to the away fan atmosphere.
  8. Only a rumour but in the Manchester Evening News in 2005 so they could well of been http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnews/sport/football/manchester_united/s/189/189581_rumour_mill_reds_linked_with_davis.html
  9. at least we don't need to change "Come on you REDSSSS" when we're at home
  10. Because they are clueless I would say. I cannot believe that Cortese will only sanction Adkins to spend 5m this year and expect us to be competitive in the Premier. Only my view but I believe that our previous record signing figure will be broken on more than one occasion before the first ball is kicked.
  11. Is it just me or am I reading too much into the latest news on the official site but based on the above rumour of a press conference may be I am not???? http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2589421,00.html The title reads "See the new BOYS in action" ie Plural more than one as they mention Lee but no one else?? hmmmmm then paragraph 3 goes on to say........ "and as the transfer window also slams shut, there will be the chance to see some new FACES on show at St Marys with Japenese striker Tadanari Lee" Hmmm are they playing games with our minds????
  12. This is absolute rubbish from the Echo as normal, I can 100% guarantee that he trained with the first team yesterday, that doesn't of course mean that he'll be coming to our rescue but it would be nice if his (supposed) attitude is better and that Adkins is prepared to give him a last chance to prove his no doubted ability over the coming months in the race for promotion. I'm sure we will all know the answers to the Puncheon predicament sooner rather than later though?
  13. Well he's been training with the first team squad today and was seen shaking hands and all smiles with Adkins having a joke too........we shall see??
  14. Seems like the whole Sharp rumour may have a bit more legs according to this guy on Twitter that has a few connections it appears??? http://twitter.com/#!/SimonPeach We'll have to wait and see if it is true but could be a good deal if it happens
  15. Looks like the report has been pulled from the article that was on the Ugly Inside site on Monday http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/fb_news.php?storyid=14097
  16. 2500 sold already WOW big following plus any sold on the day, Fantastic effort by us COYR http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2433092,00.html
  17. Might be a tw*t but still love him for his taunting at them lot down the road and even you must think that it was brilliant that a tw*t wound up 3000 tw*ts
  18. Beattie been spotted all around town today! could we about to see the return of the man whose iconic cupping of his ear to skates after scoring deserves a contract in itself or is he just down here visiting the wifes family? Not saying that he is signing or that I want him too but the words "smoke" and "fire" spring to mind but I suppose we have plenty of fireman on here to ensure that it doesn't get out of hand.
  19. Interestingly there is no mention of blocks 1-3 not being available for season ticket purchases and the diagram of the stadium clearly shows the area around those block numbers to be black in colour as per block 4?????? Could we see the renaissance of this area for next season or are they just getting our hopes up??
  20. for everyone that is moaning about the prices, here are the prices for the 2008/09 relegation season when we were relegated. March Madness renewal prices (March 1-31). HALFWAY LINE Adult: £420. Senior/Teen/Student: £420. Junior: £420. Adult/Junior Pair: n/a. CENTRE Adult: £390. Senior/Teen/Student: £290. Junior: £175. Adult/Junior Pair: n/a. WINGS/GOALS Adult: £380. Senior/Teen/Student : £280. Junior: £150. Adult/Junior Pair: £495. FAMILY ENCLOSURE Adult: £370. Senior/Teen/Student: £270. Junior: £140. Adult/Junior Pair: £370. Early Bird prices (April 1 to May 31). HALFWAY LINE Adult: £500. Senior/Teen/Student: £500. Junior: £500. Pair: n/a. CENTRE Adult: £470. Senior/Teen/Student: £350. Junior: £175. Pair: n/a. WINGS/GOALS Adult: £460. Senior/Teen/Student: £340. Junior: £150. Pair: £550. FAMILY ENCLOSURE Adult: £450. Senior/Teen/Student: £330. Junior: £140. Pair: £500. As Shurlock pointed out above the March madness prices were fantastic BUT we were then potentially paying those prices for league 1 football after that date the early bird prices were not a great deal different than this seasons and as I pointed out above we should be in a much better situation to compete in the Championship then we were back in those dark days
  21. The below link shows the prices that were being offered in the March madness of 2008 for the forthcoming season 2008/09 when we were relegated and of course the prices in the March madness could of meant that we were paying these prices to watch League one football as we all know that we survived on the last day of the season against Sheffield United. Doesn't look that bad to me when you compare and then base it on the fact that we are 3 seasons down the road and have a far better chance of success in the 2011/12 season then we were expecting in the 2008/09 season. I know that I'd rather pay more with genuine expectation then pay less in the knowledge that there is a real possibility of going down which we ultimately did. http://www.thisishampshire.net/sport/2082546.saints_freeze_season_ticket_prices_for_200809/
  22. This is what they need in the concourses and would eliminate all beer queues. If they had a couple of these on the go at each of the beer bars half time queues would be a thing of the past

  24. Below is a list of current Championship players that are out of contract this summer, some interesting possibilities that would not cost any money to bring and therefore just wages. 25. Didn't like our attitude towards him and was basically calling us ars**oles for the way he was being treated by us at the time. Kenwyne was almost trying to change what he was saying to not cause a problem for him as it certainly did not help his cause with me as a supporter but it obvious to me that he did not want to be at the club.
