  1. The individual players worthy of extra merit always get a special cheer on the lap of honour
  2. For once it's nice to gloat that I'll be at the game, normally I'm sooo jealous of you're proximity to the ski slopes
  3. Good effort, I'm in - suggest you get a website up quick smart with the bare bones and a big donate button and then build it as we go
  4. Ramsdens
  5. Took a boat from the mainland to Koh Samui some 15 yrs ago and with every square inch packed out with back packers, I happend to be about midships right on top of a large crack that ran across the deck that would open and close as we went over the swell, I was fully convinced that the next wave would split the boat in 2. But that was nothing compared to the spider the size of my face waiting for me that evening in the beach bungalow.
  6. Anyone been on a track day, got the big 40 coming up and looking at spending the day ragging some fast cars round a track, any recommendations?
  7. We always play better chasing what is required rather than defending it, this will hopefully be the hiccup that gets us back on track - squeaky bum time
  8. oh deary deary me - 2nd half come back needed and drop the diamond
  9. My missus deals with catastrophic claims and most of them are for young male drivers and it's usually the girlfriends in the passenger seat that the claims are for due to the natural inclination for the driver to steer away from the accident and the passenger taking the hit. It's truly heartbreaking some of the stories. The payouts are huge (rightly so in most cases) and it's this that makes the premiums so high (notwithstanding the insurance companies making a huge cut) Ironic that the expensive cars afforded and driven by older safer drivers are so strong and safe yet generally the cars youngsters can afford are not so.
  10. We're lucky to have hit the sweet spot; a young manager doing well with a large club in the lower leagues with a good financial footing. I'm confident he'll build and grow as the club improves and that will be the key to our success, continuity will be so important and that's something many teams do not get the chance to achieve. Circumstance has dealt us a bright future now lets get the frigging job done and get promoted FFS
  11. Good place that and one of the guys in the office is a Saints fan
  12. nice goatee butt it's time to stop bleating on and hoof this thread away coz it's giving me the horn
  13. I love Deppo and so does my wife
  14. Unfortunatley we're far to staid and reserved for such an activity - too many people would look down on anyone who would partake as being beneath them It's a plus and a minus against us Brits depending on how it's implemeted
  15. Why would you want a pair
  16. Sashimi - fresh as fuk or fuk off
  17. Expect the Oak and the Anchor to stay - the high rise is staying. My memories of East Street shopping centre will always be Tandy - the music shop, whatever it was/is called - cheap jewellers and a pet shop stuffed fulled of lizards, oh and the chavs and drunks
  18. For someone who didn't have the benefit of seeing him at the Dell that was special. Loved the Blackburn fans clapping the goal against Tim Flowers
  19. Quite frankly DD man the **** up and get on with it: 1. it's the military so why take it personally 2. head down, get on with it as he'll never last if he loses respect from the crew 3. you're in a place where you'll lose far more by bailiing out than sticking with it 4. the crap times you'll have now will be small change if you hang in there I have a new boss that is almost military like but not disrespectfull. You're doing really well not to put the fcker on his ass with a good right hook from what you've said
  20. La Plagne and Val Thorens are pretty good for families but if you can afford the flight get yourself over to the Canadian Rockies, stay at Banff and play between Lake Louise and Sunshine Village, snow is way better than the Alps and learning in the fluffy stuff instead of hardpack is way better. Aim for mid March onwards to avoid the really cold temps. Canada all the way for me, far better experience, you don't get ripped off in the resorts, accommodation way cheaper as is food and drinks, hardly any queues, more relaxed. Just had 3 days in Banff at the end of a 2 week trip and got a 1 bed condo, sleeps 4, log fireplace and kitchen for £70 a night for the whole condo. 2 bed condos not a great deal more.
  21. Sorry to hear that sad news, sounds like many a good time was had - RIP fellow Saints fan.
