Wages would probably be a stumbling block for most but you could build a good vets team out of that, apart from Wayne Thomas

Your favourite Saints players that weren't popular?
BadgerBadger replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
Jhon Viafara - not sure if he was unpopular but he had a motor on him and scored a few crackers -
A serious transfer window review thread...

Good on paper but I'm keeping an open mind until Xmas once they've all had some decent game time together -
Capital One Cup: Bristol City Ticket Details Announced
BadgerBadger replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I've often wondered why they don't lower the price to increase the crowd plus missed opportunity to get some potential new comers through the door -
After reading some of the other teams forums that people have posted on here recently I've marvelled at their ability to discuss football in a sensible manner without their equivalent of the 'usual suspects' constantly trying to score points/chucking snide remarks around. Don't get me wrong I like a laugh and chortle at some of it but the frequency is a little taxing to say the least.......

Not sure we know our best 11 yet, may take a few more games to get settled I reckon -

Borough Market, The Old Operating Theatre, a trip up the Monument and St Pauls Cathedral is well worth a visit, climb to the top is well worth it, all these a short walk from each other. Cabinet War rooms and a tour round the Houses of Parliament another good gig. Temple Church was also quite interesting

People that have a go cyclists for no paying road tax (or whatever the **** it's called) - 99.9% of these feckers have a car, pay the road tax and are doing a lot less damage in many ways by riding their bike instead. Have a think about how many minutes cyclists actually adds to your journey. I hate riding on roads anyways, hideous place to enjoy a cycle, much prefer to offroad where poss......

He basically hasn't a Scooby, who we are, who plays for us, how we play, what Southampton is like and seems wrapped up in Planet Osvaldo and I absolutely love him already, you know when you've arrived when you get players like this in your ranks, bonkers, roll on Sat.

They just don't get it do they.....bordering distastefull at times

blimey he's been in the job 5 mins and he's already sounding like a Man U manager, expected better from him

Got a mate who's living out in Melbourne and they get 20 odd Saints fans watching games at 4am in a local pub and that is, obviously, only the hardcore bunch - he says that a good chunk of them have no direct links to Southampton either. Kenya will be the next stronghold......

Fox is not a good enough back up in our current guise IMO, teams expose his weaknesses all too easily.

Just back from the game and what a night, we just knew it was going to happen and for it to be done with his first touch, wow, just wow. He got a superb response from the crowd when he came on and to hear them signing Rickie's name during and after the game on the way to the Tube was a bit special, well done fella, proud to be a Saint! I think he has been a real breath of fresh air to the England team, no WAGS or OK mags just a humble guy that the regular fan can connect with.

Really enjoyed that

Dear Terchesh or whatever you're called - please dispense with the sycophantic posts hoping for a free ticket to my inner circle, I've read too much negativity from you towards me in the early days and as an Italian I cannot forgive such petulance and bad fashion taste. Regards Nicola

Who is to be praised for the clearing out the deadwood?
BadgerBadger replied to SaintBobby's topic in The Saints
-it's a bit emotive trying to praise someone for the cull, surely it is either good or bad that these players have moved on and not -I don't buy the 'they' deserve a shot at the top flight - they're either good enough or adios - most of them are in the adios category, no time for sentiment -we needed a clear out -poch has his own style which looks to require players with very specific qualities I'm not looking to praise anyone for 'ins' or 'out' equally not having a pop at the initial thread per se but I'm enjoying a resetting of the team to suit specific roles rather than buying a bunch of potential misfits (noted that Gaston may fit the bill on this one but the jury is out until Jan for me) -
'Bompey' is a silly word and there's no replacing our fishy friends
