He had a purple patch in about 2016 when I thought he'd go on and be decent. But he became shit instead.
-
I'd rather see Rashford down the middle personally. Hope you're right. I think it'll be a struggle, but we'll scrape past them.
-
Yep. Right calls from me. Good bench options, although I'm not sure what Wilson brings.
-
They're decent. This won't be easy.
-
Unless he's coming back to UK, I can't see what family situation he can deal with from over there? Odd.
-
Hmm. Seems an odd choice of words from the FA, and curious timing. Loads of other bench options though.
-
There were 3 games this weekend, we don't know if he featured in one of them.
-
Spoken like a true English man.

Saka did more against Iran than did against Wales imo, and is the better player for me. case for
-
I'd play Saka over Rashford personally. Rashford was crap first half against Wales, and in reality only had a cracking 25 mins in the 2nd half. I'd play Foden on the left though, and would be disappointed if Sterling played ahead of him. I wouldn't play Foden in the midfield 3, and get the case for Mount or even Henderson ahead of him.
-
I struggle with that. Players who want to play should be applauded imo. The irony though is that some people (not saying you) thought it was great that he wanted to come here to play, but then consider him cocky cos he wanted to go on loan as he thought he was good enough to play!

Hopefully it was the B team defence showing the manager/board that they're not the answer and that reinforcements are needed.
-
Ditto Morgan. As good as it was to see them so well for the B and u18 teams, it's players like that I want playing at Bristol City in a friendly.
-
Attack wise you're correct, but not at the other end. Payne, Small, Lawrence, Finnigan, Otseh-Taiwo are B team regulars and none featured in the B or u18 games. If they played at City as part of a "Saints Xl" it's a bit different than our best Xl going there and losing. It could be as simple as Jones wanting to see how the above faired against City to see if they could step up. I'll judge the result when I know the team we put out.
-
Not great is it. I'd like to see a teamsheet though. The B team was a scratch team so hopefully the team against Bristol City was a team of youngsters and fringe players 🤞🤞
-
I think they just make it look easy. Dismantled a team that we couldn't.
-
Fair to say that the Dutch are making this look easy. Lot of quality in that team.
-
Morgan, Doyle, Dibling and Ballard all on the pitch together! I wouldn't fancy being a Coventry defender against that lot.
-
I get that Del, but I think we'll get picked off if we sit back.
-
Personally I'd like to see it go bigger. 48 teams. 8 groups of 6. Group games thick and fast for squad rotation. Top 4 from each group going through, giving loads of teams something to play for. Then a round of 32 with some of the minnows inevitably involved. Then the usual format. It's a world cup, like the Olympics, the more the merrier imo.

Oh ye of little faith Charlie. If Southgate sets us up primarily to not concede, I think we will concede. If he plays to our strengths, we've got a hell of chance. Beat the French, and it'll get very interesting.
-
No, no and never for me. He'd add nothing. If Wood was available on loan that'd be a different story, but not Fraser.
-
Although Spain will likely edge out Morocco, a shock there wouldn't be a big shock for me. I think Japan will sneak past Croatia too - they look ridiculously organised.
-
I'm with you on that. The Argies and Brazil aren't what they were for me. Alex Mccallister in the middle of the park for Argentina, Fred for Brazil. O don't look at their teams and worry. It's tactics, or moments of individual genius, where the difference could be made. Get past Senegal and France, and I'm buying an it's coming home scarf.
-
I tend to agree. Senegal will be tough, but I think we'll just about get past them. If we can then beat France, I believe that we could win it.
