  1. No way we can do that if Ralph sticks to the new 343 in possession system. Minamino helped that system work by tucking in or dropping deep and allowing KWP to get orward. Playing Tella on the same side as KWP in that system wouldn't work, and on the other side I think most agree that Redmond did well as a kind of LWB. The only role for Tella in that system, for me, is up front but Ings and Che did well.
  2. Some saw the whole game, and other Swiss games, and u23 games. I’ve seen the kid play several times, and I haven’t seen a better academy prospect in a long time. I’ve been following and watching a lot of youth and reserve/u21/u23/b team footy since Shearer etc were in the youth team, and I can’t think of a central midfielder who’s stood out more than this lad. I can only assume that there’s a reason other than ability why he’s on his way.

  6. My thoughts, although he was better than is being made out. He helps the central midfielders more than our other tens and that helped us massively.
  7. Yep, looks up for it. His pace is fantastic.
  8. Yep. Looks like he's benching about 130kg.
  9. Would be nice if he closed his just eat account.
  10. Minamino missed two opportunities for a ball through there. Poor.
  11. Yep. They seem to bring out his edgey side. I like it.
  12. Class goal. Great ball from JWP, good ball from Adam, ice cool finish. Nice.
  13. He handed in a transfer request because he wants to play. If he plays, he might not want to go.
  14. Fulham's players, I'm guessing, will have relegation wage drop clauses so will be keen to move. If Burnley players have the same, it's academic if they stay up. Nothing strange there. Non story.

  16. I'm not making excuses. You said he ain't a LB and I agreed. I'm also saying I think that he had a decent game. You disagree which is fine.
  17. He isn't a full back, nobody is claiming that he is. He's a right sided CB doing a job at LB. Judging by the reactions to other people's posts compared to yours, it seems that the general view is that he did ok. There's not much to debate if your opinion is that he was shit.
  18. For me, his best days are gone, but he started well for us and added something to the team. Although I thought he was our worst player against Liverpool, I think he's finding his way back after a spell out. The Long comparison is unfair. Very different players in their prime, and very different now. On balance, I'm happy that he'll be around the place next season.
  19. Yep. He had a decent game. He kept Alexander-Arnold quiet, and Salah wasn't the threat he can be.
  20. Indeed. Canning her, sending a remainer to a leave town, all shows either a) a party out of touch with its core, or b) a party trying to reinvent itself but being unclear about what it's doing. It's a mess.
  21. Strong words, but impossible to follow where you're coming from on the Labour reshuffle. Rayner is everything to Labour's core vote that Starmer isn't. Seeing her job change in the aftermath of this election doesn't send any sort positive message that the party understands where it's going wrong...perhaps you can explain the positives of the reshuffle and particularly the Rayner situation.
  22. My politics are very much left of centre (the "leftie" badge is silly) I agree with the article and it largely echoes what I posted above. Whoever is driving the labour policy machine has got it badly wrong. The labour party needs to understand who it represents and what it intends to do. At the moment I haven't got a clue who they are, and one problem they have is that this tory government are from "rightie" and have swallowed up the middle ground voters.

  24. Yep. I can't see a single benefit in highlighting it. I think it was Morgan Freeman who said something similar years ago and he probably knows a bit about the subject.
  25. Thing is, the idiot who did it now knows he's got under his skin. Although this online racism shouldn't be happening, it'll only get worse the more the victims highlight it. I don't understand how people think that highlighting it helps.
