  1. More time? He's been dreadful for a year.
  2. Neither of us know the overwhelming concensus of their fans but I suspect many of their fans, like ours, sense danger and want change. As an outsider it looks as though he's taken that squad as far as he can, but that doesn't make him a bad manager. I'd have him here over Ralph in a heartbeat.
  3. Leicester signed nobody and sold their best defender. Ralph was given money and bought loads of players. Leicester's bad start is hardly surprising and doesn't reflect on Rodgers at all imo.
  4. Yep, sad move. The little one at Sainsbury's one was great. This one was brilliant, cheap too, although I was confused that it was halal but there was a whole pig on the bench at the back.
  5. We didn't have time to shop Friday or Saturday so I popped into Lidl yesterday afternoon. It looked like there'd been a supermarket sweep tournament in there. No bread, meat, rice, only dregs of fruit so I went to an eastern European supermarket in Shirley. It was brilliant - a proper butcher counter, good fruit and veg, nice polish bread, all the staples. I'm guessing it was like that cos it's only Brits who are divs and stock up unnecessarily.

  7. Behave. It's not the villa game. It's the last christ knows how long. It's the lack of a goalscorer, the lack of a creative force, the lack of midfield cover, the lack of proper full back cover, a kid in goal. The rose tinted specs/blinkered view/head in the sand of some fans is truly something to behold.
  8. I think the truth is that every case is different, but, football standard is a fixed term. Ralph has relocated to another country and you'd imagine he'd have a contract that gives him more security than it gives us flexibility.

    Prove it.
  10. There's an air of inevitability about it Del. For me, it's gotta be the end for Ralph if we lose it. Get a new man in and up and running before the West Ham game.

  12. But we'd still be paying him, paying compensation for a replacement and then paying the replacement. He'd also be hanging around the place. Apart from all that, it's a cracking idea!!

This is yeasterday's news lads, time to move on.
  14. He'd still be in the payroll so that's not much of a solution.
  15. Nope, but most football contracts are fixed term so have to be fully paid up if cancelled by the club. There's no reason to believe Ralph's contract is anything other than standard.
  16. If he's got the thick end of 2 years left on his deal and he's earning £70k PW, that's £7m. Rumours are that he's on more than that though, so it'll be more than £7m.
  17. Why would Frank come here? He's got a better squad at Brentford. Arrogant to assume that he'd come running if we click our fingers.
  18. I love derby games, and if we're going down, playing them twice a season would soften the blow. I can see it happening sadly, we can't score or create, only have flyweight cover at full back, the keeper looks bang average, and we're light in midfield. Pompey's centre forward would improve us.

    Elyounoussi

He's average, but he wasn't our worst player last night. Villa kicked lumps out of him and he won feeekicks. JWP was shit. Diallo dreadful. Djenepo busy but clueless. A Armstrong crap. Ditto Adams. Don't start me on the keeper. We all like a scapegoat, but we had worse players yesterday.

  22. To be fair, if he's going to play Maguire at CB, we'll need to protect him with about 6 defensive midfielders.
  23. I haven't heard what he said, but Fantasy Scout aren't predicting him to start. Their predicted line up is:
  24. Meeting
  25. We're on different pages. My understanding on the buyback is that is that we must accept a City offer that matches the figure, but that the player doesn't have to go there, and that anyone else can bid for the lad. If I'm correct, I go back to my point that if City offer the £40mil and another club offers say £60m, the lad can tell City he ain't going there unless they look after him very well. Thus, the buyback figure only governs what we get from the deal if the player wants to go back to City, but not the what the player can seek from City if he's in demand.
