They can be what they want, but play for your country, sing the anthem.

Just saw the squad that's left. Thread bare.

Get that, but this San Marino. They're worse than Pompey ffs. Personally, I'd prefer to see another forward player on the pitch rather than relying on Mings or Maguire.

Good move for him. He's struggled since he left us and a bit of instant glory up there will do him no harm. Bit of a come down from Barcelona though.

When your star witness is SKDman, you have a shit case.

We could, and the answer would still be what I and others have said and you'd still be sat there with your fingers in your ears refusing to listen, and we'll still have a Lyanco who's signing was underwhelming but looking a little better than expected. It'd also still be a Sunday with, I suspect, better things to do so I'm off to do those better things. Have a good day.

That's absolutely how it was, and if the details really matter to you, search back through the thread. As CB says, it's a bit of a pointless fight though.

That's been our way for years - buy, develop, sell, repeat. There can be a painful and slow development period - eg Salisu - but quick ones - Tino - or abject disasters - Hoedt - etc etc. The thing with Lyanco is that he didn't feel like the our usual type of investment signing. It felt like a cheap punt which may or may not work out. The reviews from Italy were underwhelming, thus posters who read those, were underwhelmed. So far he looks better than expected, and our coaches may be a part of that.

Yep. There'll be minimal expectation this season. If they go on a lucky run to the window still in touch, then he'll hopefully get backing to give staying up a go, but if the expected happens, he can build for next season.
-
Yep. Not sure what we're supposed to say/discuss unless it's what a player has done previously.

Someone said Palace have a higher wage bill than us so the question was how do they have a higher spending "allowance" than we do.
-
Good points. Is it as simple as us having been shafted by that dodgy sponsor so not having any major sponsorship income in that period? If not, I'm struggling to understand why we lag beind Palace, Brighton etc.

Seems to be something like that to me. "Working from home" when you have an International break and a chance to work on stuff on the training ground is not the done thing.

Which 90s band are you regretting the last 25-30 years over?

That was superb. Brilliant game too. -

Yep, there is something about opening a new record, discovering something new, or rediscovering something from the past. I love everything from the cover, sometimes they print the lyrics, there's other blurb, maybe a random poster, and then there's listening to the whole thing, not just a track or two. I'm gathering a right random selection, loads of older stuff, newer, bits of jazz, and whatever. Must get some northern soul in there too, always enjoy it but haven't invested yet. -

I'm not sure cd's will have a vinyl type revival, but I reckon there'll be some kind of bounce back. I'm keeping hold of mine for a while to see how it goes. -
He's probably holding out for the Newcastle job when it becomes available in the new year.
